it was saturday afternoon when donghyuck waited for his pretend girlfriend to arrive at rainbow mall.

the purple haired boy wanted to hang out with her and treat her out for helping him out in maths and saving his grade. (yup, she's still tutoring btw.)

well, that reason was just part of it why he wanted to meet her. he searched for an excuse to spend more time with her as he genuinely enjoyed being around her.

the other reason for the gathering was that he wanted to find out if he was ready to confess when they hung out once more.

as mark had once advised, he should listen to his heart and his heart led him to a meet up.

sooyun declined his offer of treating her out at first, however, he insisted and kept on annoying her until she finally agreed to meeting up with him.

"my beauty, there you are!", the male junior exclaimed beamingly and was happy about her appearance.

"hi sweetheart", she greeted smiling and gave him a short hug, letting hyuck's heart rate accelerate.

"sooo, what and where do you want to eat?", the purple haired boy asked gently and tilted his head, looking at her in anticipation, "it's my treat so you choose."

"hyuck, it's not necessary to treat me out", sooyun mentioned gently, declining his offer once again and making the older boy upset.

"hey, i told you that i will treat you out! you've literally saved my ass in maths and you are still tutoring me without getting paid", the male responded stubbornly, "that's the least thing i can do."

"but you have saved me too when you agreed on being in a pretend relationship with me and i'm not paying you either!", the blonde girl argued and lifted an eyebrow, "we're basically even so you don't need to treat me out."

"shit, she's good at arguing", hyuck thought to himself, crossing his arms.

"come on, let me be a gentleman and treat m'lady out", the purple haired boy asked in his most charming way, smirking at her in amusement.

sooyun rolled her eyes and snickered at his comment. "you sound really old, grandpa", she teased him.

"EXCUSE ME."

donghyuck gasped in offense and shook his head in disappointment. "i just wanted to be generous and charming and then i receive this treatment, WOW."

"gaslightning and guilttripping ain't gonna work, sweetie."

"aww, too bad... was worth a shot."

at the end, donghyuck managed to convince sooyun to treat her out to some cake and drinks.

they entered a café called "luminous" and were kindly greeted by a young waiter who led them to a table of two.

the juniors sat down opposite of each other before the employee passed down the menus for them to look at.

"if you have decided for something, then don't hesitate to reach out for me", the waiter mentioned and gave them a warm smile before his colleagues called him.

"YOUNGBIN, WE NEED YOUR HELP. STEVEN DID-"

"DON'T EXPOSE ME, SUIL."

"guys, please don't be so loud."

"sorry woobin but steven had- HEY, DON'T KISS ME."
