Day 1 of community service.

It did awkward bad to bad.

Natalia insisted on talking to me, this didn't sit well with Gabriel of course, who is still upset about the decisión I made.

I close the blue fluffy journal, pushing both it and my pen into my backpack.

It was the 3rd session of the day, the last session before lunch. Mi glad because God know mi feel like mi nuh nyam fi 1 whole year.

I turn to my left to the masculine voice beside me. One of my classmates, a darkskin male, was looking at me intently.

"Shi di ask yuh fi respond fi har?" Raysean shots back at Dontae who stood towering over me, scowling at Raysean.

"Bredda morning juss light a wahm to unu? Breeze di girl nuh man" saved by Gabby as always.

Laughing, I turned around to Gabriel. I snatched a pen from her table then handed it to Rayesean who said a small, "thanks" to which I smiled.

Dontae hissed his teeth and stalked off to his seat.

Him coming like a likkle sissy yute.

"Good morning class" The voice of Ms.Denton rang through the classroom following the sond of her loud clicking heels.

The class groaned.

Think she neva did a come ino, because a bout 15 minutes ina the class time now.

"I said Good morning students, do I also have to teach you proper decency?" Ms. Denton snapped at us as she put her bag to lay on the table.

Chairs started to scrape against the hard concrete floor as the children stood to their feet to greet her.
