"She knows" I said as soon as we got back home "I don't know how but she knows."
Ailign leaned in and sniffed the air around me, wincing as he did so.
"The oils rubbed off. Your sweat is barely penetrating the smell of them but its there. You were in the sun too long." He says with a look of disdain.
Jake leaned closer from his seat in the shuttle too then and took in a lung full, agreeing with ailign.
"Cats out of the bag" He said "that secret was short lived"
Ailign looked perplexed at the phrase and me and Jake just explained it was another human thing. Ailign turned on the shuttle, preparing it to make our departure, he fired up the engines, the shuttle rocking as it hovered above the ground until he brought the machine up and up.
"What do we do now?" I asked
"We continue to hide your scent so others don't find out until after the games are over. Then we'll make an official announcement." Ailign said
"After we get back from getting the sword right?" I ask
"Right" ailign agrees
I relaxed into my seat, holding onto my crisscross seat belt as the shuttle lonched forward, taking us back home. I watched the coliseum disappear into the night as we drove on, our shuttle making its way quickly.
We arrived out of the house, Jake jumping out and giving me a hand on the way out we made our way inside.
"I want you to be seen by a physician now that my mother knows" ailign said
I nodded my head, still walking down the hallway we came up tonmy little living room were I plopped down and kicked off my shoes. Jake made his way to the kitchen pouring himself and ailign a drink.
Ailign took it and downed it in one gulp, Jake doing the same. I layed on my couch watching the two, Jake started peeling off his armor, tossing his vambraces off onto the kitchen counter top, I watched the male strip.
Jake's muscular arms bare to see he made his way to his scaled blazer, peeling the metal off until his chest was bare, his muscular abdomen cleaming in the light from his sweat. I felt my core tighten. He noted my stare, a smile dancing to his lips my eyes snaked up his physic to meet his own.
"Like the goods?" He asked
I rolled my eyes, going back to staring at nothing on my little couch. Ailign came around then and sat next to me, lifting my feet and placing them on his lap, he leaned over then and placed a large hand on my belly.
"Wat do you want to name it?" He asked me
"Idk I've just found out it exists. We can think of names together" I say with a warm smile.
"My prince" one suddenly cut in "your brother has arrived"
We all turn towards the hallway leading to the front door, but there was nothing there, only a phantom of the man to come.
"What does he want?" Ailign grumbled getting up to see his brother.
Foot steps could be heard coming towards us then and ailign halted in his steps, not expecting the male to enter the home and seek us out. Jake tensed behind me, his arm snaking out to grab hold of the couch for leverage.
"Brother" nole called
"What are you doing here at this hour?" Ailign asked
"I must speak with you in private, but not before I congradulated your mate on her pregnancy." He said now coming into veiw, his formal white pristine attire shining brightly in the light.
"You've congradulated her now let's go." Ailign growled walking downbthe hallway now to meet his brother halfway. Nole smilled at me and nodded his head before turning on his heal and walking with ailign out of out sights.

"Do you have news on the rebelion?" I asked
"I've swayed a few more nobels to my side. Were all ready to see the queen gone." He said
I nodded my head, sitting at my desk nole paced before me, the floor squeeking beneath his heavy foot falls. I lace my fingers together and place them on the desk.
"I've talked to a few of the sympathetic gnerals who also don't want to go against the galactic alliance. With the number of allies we have no we can strike with a coo."
Nole stopped his pacing, his black eyes turning on my own, he ran a hand through his hair.
"When donwe strike?" Nole asked
"I'm going on a mating trip after the games..." I said
"Really ailign!? That can wait your mates already pregnant for fucks sake." Nole said.
I hesitated for a moment. Could I trust my brother with this information? Would he be an ally on my side of would this mearly hurt my chances of getting the sword? I sat and considered for a long moment, my brother pacing once more on my worn floors.
"Mother has been worshiping the dark gods" I say hesitantly
Nole wins his head so quickly I was afraid it would snap "Why is she doing that?" He asked
"To call up another God. A god of distruction. I suspect to take out the foris after the galactic alliance is done for." I said
"How would she accomplish that? What sacrifice is she planning on making of our people?!" Nole yelled
I was quite for a long moment, again deciding on how much to reveal. Nole stared at me, fury on his face and I knew I had no choice but to reveal the truth now. He was my future king.
"Sacrificing my child to moranus" I said
Nole sucked in a deep breath, his eyes slowly blinking, he started pacing again, before stopping and punching a hole in my desk.
"That bitch!" He seethed "we have to overthrow her before she can complete her plans or there'll be no stopping her. She'll have supreme power."
"I agree" I said
"Then we go with the coo now!" He yelled
I stood up then, leaning forward over my desk I said as calmly as I could muster "after my trip"
"Why is this trip so important?" He asked
"For the safety of my mate." I said
Nole stilled then, a hand going through his long black hair once more.
"Fine" He said "as soon as you get back. I expect you on my side."
I lowered my neck in a bow "of course my prince" I said.
He looked satisfied at that. Taking to the door, he looked back and said "I want a list of all the militia on our side. A report of there loyalities. And make sure its encripted."
"Right away" I said
Nole was gone then, storming out of my office he was gone.
I walked back down the hallway to find my mate, needing to be near our child and make sure she was safe, my instincts on high sense the moment I smelled her. I had heard of mech males instincts rising when there mates were pregnant but I thought that was just hear say. Now I felt the intense need, to claim and protect.
The first thing I smelled was the oils I'd rubbed into her, her sweet scent mixed in with the oils, coming through on subtle notes.
"Megan" I said
She was laying down on the couch with jake, the male snuggling her tightly, her gentle face lit up with a blush.
"Ailign" She said trying to sit up but the shirtless male held her down. She patted his arm away and sat all the way up.
"How'd it go?" She asked me, voice ringing out like a sweet melody.
"There more supporters among the nobles" I said
A smile lit her face, taking in the good news, she beemed. I let her happiness wash over and into me. The lovely woman, this tiny creature loves me, and I her. I never thought I'd have such a relationship in my life, didn't think I needed it, but now I can no longer imagine my life without her warmth. I felt my lip twitch, trying to turn into a smile, but I held it back. She noted the movement and her smile only broadened as she leaned back into Jake's embrace.
"I'll leave you two alone now" I said making to leave and plot a way to sway more of the generals.
"Stay" Megan said "watch a movie with us"
I stood considering but I had more work to do, had more plans to make.
"Another time" I said
"You better" She grumbled.
I smiled at her pout, a true smile, the corners of my mouth rising. She sat and stared in wonder, her face blushing deeper.
"I'll see you tonight" I said
"See you" she said
