Watching Michael stare in awe as he stepped through the threshold of the palace was fucking adorable, his cheeks still flushed from the sudden contrast of bitter cold air outside, and warm heating inside. Still, he kept my coat wrapped around his body as if he physically couldn't take it off, or maybe he just didn't want to, either way it made my stomach do flips and turns inside me.

I happily showed him to the spare room he can stay in, which may or may not happen to be next to mine. He placed his bags on the bed while we continued to walk around, I wanted him to know where stuff like the infirmary or library was. "Our head doctor's name is Rose, if you ever need help medically come to her. Her wife, Alex, is my best assistant along with Lily." I showed him where the infirmary office was and he nodded, an inquisitive look on his face.

"Uh- is this a new worker?" Lily suddenly appeared in front of us, staring down at Michael with a crooked eyebrow. She held a clipboard in hand that was probably filled with notes for whatever I have going on this afternoon. "Oh, no, this is Michael, he's staying with us for a while." I gestured over to the brunette, whose ears were folded down in a shy manner.

"Uh- not to be rude, but like, why?" She was clearly chewing gum but trying to hide it, I wasn't sure why since I literally could care less about gum. Lily's suit was surprisingly untucked and loose, as if she had just woken up from a four year nap, not unlikely. "Because he needs a place to stay." I placed my hands in my pockets, she looked him up and down and I think the clues were clicking in her brain.

"Michael was it?" She smiled, Michael nodded, fidgeting with his hands in front of him. "Pretty name. Could you please take these for a moment? I just need to speak with Noah in private." Lily handed him a pair of headphones she always keeps on her body, Michael placed them over his head and walked a few feet away, sliding down to the floor to drown away in the music blasting through the device.

"So, there was a "girl"." Lily placed her hands on her hips, an 'I told you so' look implanted on her face that she couldn't shake if she wanted to, which I knew she didn't. I crossed my arms, kind of just wanting this over with. "Okay, he's freaking adorable, and I don't want to see what those blue eyes look like crying so you better not be playing with him sir." She placed her finger on my chest in a threatening manner.

"I'm not "playing with him" Lil. I-.. I think he's pretty and sweet.." I looked past to the brunette sitting against the wall, bobbing his head slowly to the music. His tail wagging ever so slightly while he produced a quiet purring sound. I've never heard an omega's purr before, nor have I ever purred myself, it's kind of hypnotic to hear.

"Okay, fine." Lily sighed, gesturing to Michael to say he can take the headphones off, Michael stood up and walked back towards us, his purring coming to a halt as he gave the headphones back to Lily. "I've gotta get going, nice to meet you Michael." Lily smiled and walked away. "I'm gonna head to bed, thank you for everything truly." Michael smiled, trying not to yawn.

"Anytime, beautiful. If you need anything at all just tell me."

"I will."
