I watched as Michael practically ran out of the front door of the resort villa. I followed behind him, catching up when he stopped to look at the scenery around. It was bright with green everywhere, giant trees, bushes and grass only interrupted with a path that led to a trail through the forest.

I followed him down that path, he called Posi to check on Willow as he walked, asking about every little thing Willow did to make sure she was okay. To the point where I saw him getting stressed, and I gently took the phone from his hand, said goodbye to Posi and hung up. I put the phone in my pocket in hopes he'd relax a little.

"Give the phone back." He more so demanded than asked, holding his hand.

I looked down at him, "You think I'm gonna?" I smiled. He rested his eyes with disappointment and frustration, suddenly jumping at me to try and grab it from my back pocket.

I held it as high as I could before he got the chance, he stared up at it, his ears down in defeat. "That's not fair." He pointed to it. "What are you, a middle school bully?" He crossed his arms.

Both of us still standing in the middle of the path, I kept my hand up, waiting for him to completely give up.

"What if your daughter is choking right now?" He crooked an eyebrow.

"She's fine, Posi and Rose are taking care of her." I smiled with satisfaction, watching him try to come up with another reason.

"One day I'm gonna choke and die, and it's gonna be your fault because you didn't answer the phone." He huffed, trying once more to jump up, only being able to leave the ground for a second or two.

"I'll give you something to choke on." I smirked, immediately laughing as I saw how he froze with a completely red face. Any attempt to get the phone ceased instantly.

He stayed silent for a second as I laughed, before turning around and simply walking away down the path.

"Baby— come back—" I held back laughter, catching up to him.

"Go time out." He pointed back to the villa, "That was vile." He continued to speed walk, I struggled to keep up.
I grabbed his waist and pulled him back to me.

"I love youu." I cooned, he subconsciously purred in response, his tail wagging slightly. "You love me too." I chuckled, kissing up his neck.

"Okay, okay, fine." He feigned annoyance as he pulled away, holding back a smile.
"I do love you." He looked back at me, as if it was something I shouldn't tell anyone.

I felt a heavy feeling in my chest, placing my hands in my pockets to feel the small black box I had hidden in one of them.
He continued down the path, I stayed nervously silent most of the walk. He didn't seem to notice, too focused on the scenery around.

We came across a bridge, the sound of the river beneath it filling the forest. Water crashing against itself, tearing rocks from the shore and taking them with its tide. Michael stepped up on the lower part of the railing that ran down the sides of the bridge, placing his hands on it to boost himself up.

"Careful." I leaned on it next to him, looking down at the water.

"Would you save me if I fell?" He smirked, jumping up and sitting on it. I immediately grabbed his waist and pulled him back down before he got to sit for even a second.
