18 If it is meant to be...

Broken pieces scattered across the floor.
A sharp stab as they slammed the door.
Like mirror shards glittering,
Ghost butterflies fluttering.
Singing a song of what once used to be,
Hear their voices echoing with ghostly melody.

Once in a land of love and lore,
There lived a couple unlike ever before,
Together in their castle of paper and glass,
They lived happily for a while,
Until a chink in their armour began the trial.
Whirlwinds whisked away their love,
Yet a glimmer of hope lay hidden a grove.
While heartbreak crept into their court,
A single melody healed, and by love it re-taught.

Single in his kingdom forevermore,
The King stood at his door.
The Queen vanished without a trace,
Not even the attendees could give chase.

And so in the land of love and lore,
The people rejoiced never again,
As the their Queen had boarded a train,
Far away from the anger and vain.
Where she could be herself again.

And there she grew to be what she always wanted when she was younger,
A beautiful mystery unravelled and the people began to wonder,
Where this talented young woman came from,
Who potted and baked and painted and played a drum.
An artist she was indeed,
Who now war free from all the greed.

Until the day the King had found her,
He claimed to be visiting her father.
Happy she to see him,
Though bittersweet memories returned filling her heart to the brim.

In the blink of an eye they were wed once more,
An a family she then bore.

Happily ever after they now share,
In a land of love and lore,
Forevermore.

... it will be.

 it will be
