45 Hope: An Everlasting Embrace

13 5 4

Looking inside of me and you,
And I know I should find,
The answer to the void inside.

When did things become so blue?
What's leaving me feeling so left behind?
Surely there's something, someone out there?

Now all I want to know is if it's true,
The myths and stories in our mind.
Is there hope at the end of the jar?

Hope, a feeling of warmth and embrace,
Hope, the reason I still exist.
Hope, a promise to carry on.

A perpetual melody,
Singing inside my head, and my heart.
Hope, the last thing inside me,
I guess there never was a void after all.

Like laughter in the sunshine,
And dancing in the rain.
Hope will never leave us in vain.

For as long as we have hope inside our hearts,
No one can bring our lives to an end.
For hope is the last bit of magic left in this world.

We only ever need to believe.
Hope will ease our minds and our aches relieve.
Drop our weapons, and gather round.

Drink some tea and warm the heart.
Melt the ice and the smiles all start.
Hope has the power to do all this.
