About 20 men gathered around the young shinobi wearing black flak jackets, approaching with their handguns drawn, using their torchlights to shine the way. They approached from both sides and surrounding the kids from both sides, so that the ocean was the only way out.
"Shikamauru, that's a lot of angry jonin," Ino muttered, the fear in her voice resonating among the other genin. "And some of them look like literal beasts!" She freaked.
She was referring to the heteromorphic police officers, one who looked like a rat, another like an armadillo, and a third like a bear.
"Don't worry. With all this sand around, we win!" Kankuro stated confidently.
"Let's take them down and go find Sasuke!" Naruto shouted enthusiastically.
"We need to be smart about this," Shikamaru shushed, putting his hands together as he tried to think of a plan.
"I don't recognize their weapons. They look like some kind of tonfa though," Tenten noted. "We have the range advantage".
"One-handed tonfa? These are opponents with a unique style. We need to be careful," Neji cautioned.
"Yes. We must strike when their guard is down," Shino noted.
"That's going to be hard to do with all this light on us though," Tenten noted.
Whilst the men were still some distance away, Shikamaru informed the others of his plan. The genin readied themselves for a fight, Kankuro releasing his puppet crow from his back. As the men came to a stop around the kids, they shouted different things at them.
"Drop your weapons!" "Declare your quirks!" were among the few that could be made out. However, they didn't approach closer than 30ft, keeping sufficient distance between themselves and the genin.
"Their tonfa have holes in them. They must be some ranged hybrid. Which explains why they're keeping their distance," Tenten muttered to Shikamaru who nodded.
"Drop your weapons and get on the floor," they shouted at the genin.
"Wait, they're just kids," one noted, with a bit of hesitation in his voice.
"That's exactly what villains would want you to think newbie," another chastised. "Never let your guard down!"
The situation was tense. Both the genin and the police were not backing down. Shikamaru turned to Shino who nodded.
"Temari!" he muttered.
Wind style: Gale Raging Wall!!! Temari thought, opening up her wind fan.

"They're attacking! Fire!!" the police shouted.
Temari swung her fan in one swift motion, creating an omnidirectional wall of wind in all directions. This whipped up the sand while simultaneously sending all the men flying.
