Chapter 5: Tournament

"You ready to go?" Daniel called standing outside of his room as Victoria smoothed her shirt. "We have to meet Jessica."

"Yeah, I'm coming." She answered and opened the door, Daniel stared at her in awe. "Wow, you look amazing."

"Daniel come on we have to go." She giggled and started walking, Daniel closed the door behind her as they walked into the house, Daniel shut and locked all the doors

The front door opened as the two saw Miyagi enter. "What are you doing here?" Daniel asked

"Forget something." He said

"What?" Victoria questioned as Miyagi reached for something beside them, he grabbed the buddha statue. "For shop. Bring good luck." He answered making the two laugh

"Good thinking Mr. Miyagi." She giggled

Daniel agreed, "well, I hope it brings good customers, too."

"Daniel-San and Victoria-San look good." Miyagi said looking at the two

Victoria blushed, she had been saving this and thankfully brought it to Japan. "Who knew bringing clothes you knew you weren't going to wear would actually be a good thing."

"Yeah, thanks for the shirt. I love it." Daniel answered before grabbing a match

Victoria and Mr. Miyagi looked confusedly at Daniel who smiled. "What doing?" Miyagi asked

"Well, I've been thinking about what Victoria said, and I decided to take her advice. I'm going to let my confusion go up in smoke. I'm not entering the tournament. I want my Karate and your Karate to mean something."

Victoria smiled watching as the paper caught on fire. Daniel was actually listening to her for once and she was sure it would lead him away from fighting. Daniel threw it into the fire place before intertwining hands with Victoria.

"Good decision, Daniel." Victoria said nodding with Mr. Miyagi

"This way no more bruises. Save money on Band-Aids." Miyagi joked before Victoria stopped him. "Ah, we still need ice packs, my bruise would beg to differ."

Daniel laughed and also joked, "get out of here. They never laid a hand on me last year. Just an elbow, a few feet. I'll never forget that knee to the groin. That was interesting."

"Yeah, that sure was. We'll see you later, Mr. Miyagi." Victoria waved to their mentor before the two walked the other way getting into Daniel car

"Hi." Daniel said as Jessica opened the door. "Hey." She said back

"Hi Jessica." Victoria added making the girl smile. "Are we ready to go?"

Jessica nodded and shut off the lights closing the door behind her. "I'm glad you guys invited me. It's just that I've been here for two months with absolutely nothing to do and I haven't even met any friends."

"Well, meet your first friends." Victoria answered

"All right." Jessica nodded

"Yeah, this is wild." Daniel said

"What?" The two girls asked and Daniel continued. "Wait till he hears about this one."

"Who?" Jessica asked

"Mr. Miyagi. He's my partner. He's uh...you wanna meet him? He's right across the street?"
