×Dean POV×

We've established that the truth serum was working.
In fact, it was working a little too well. Justin was most definitely not a demon, it was probably some spell that was making his eyes appear black.

"I just wanted to investigate an omen and suddenly I got stabbed by these demons. And there were only 3! I should've been able to take them if I didn't trip like an idiot.", he kept babbling while I tried giving his stabs some medical attention.

Justin would live for now but this was still likely to get infected, so if we couldn't get out of this damn town until evening, he might not survive the night.

"I feel very safe with you doing my stitches, your hands are really skilled.", he said, hissing while I pressed an alcohol swab against the last stitch.
Did I just hear that right?

"Okay, uhm thanks, but maybe we can focus on the important information here."

Justin straightened his back and put on a neutral face although I could see that he was clearly embarrassed.
"I'm trying."
Well, better than nothing I guessed.

"Which omen did you research?", I wanted to know.

"The river ran polluted all of the sudden. Last Wednesday.", Justin explained and before he could say something irrelevant again, I waved the Pastor and Austin over.

"When did demons start showing up?"

"Thursday.", they answered in unison.
Okay, so the day after. That had to be something.

"Anything else?"

Austin looked unsure, scratching his neck.
"Maybe but it's a bit random."

"Good, random is good.", I reassured him. God, if he'd known what type of crazy shit I've heard from people while working on a case.

"There was a shooting star the same night. Real big one."

"Well, that definitely counts."
Shooting star. It sounded biblical, important. Didn't Sam tell me something about the shooting star being a sigh for the beginning of the apocalypse?

I wouldn't be able to recite anything by memory but there had to be a Bible down here somewhere.

I turned around, finding a shelf and thankfully a Bible in it. I skimmed through the pages until I found the passage Sammy had been referring to.

"And there fell a great star from heaven, burning like a torch and it fell upon the river and the name of the star was Wormwood. And many men died.", I said out loud.

"You are really smart, I'm impressed.", Justin commented randomly.
Okay, being complimented by Angies fuck buddy wasn't really on my bucket list. I decided to ignore him.

The Pastor stepped closer, looking over my shoulder at the passage I have been reciting.
"Revelation 8:10. Are you saying that this is about the apocalypse?"
Damn, he didn't know how right he was. All those people here had no clue that the literal devil was walking on earth again.

"You could say.", I said vaguely.

"Lucifer got fr-", Justin started but I started talking over him very loudly.

"These specific omens, they're prelude for what?"

"The four horsemen.", the Pastor supplied.

I hoped I had been wrong, that maybe my fantasy was playing a joke on me. It wasn't unlikely concidering the crazy things I've encountered in my life.

But now my weird bad feeling about the red Mustang I saw while Angie and Sam were inside the shop didn't seem do weird anymore, just bad.

"And which one rides the red horse?", I forced myself to ask.
