×Dean POV×

I was watching Angie disappear behind one of the doors.
I've never been at this place but Keza was here so I assumed it had to do something with Interpol. It was probably even warded against demons.

I absently wiped my hands on my jeans as if that could erase the fact that I touched Angie a few seconds ago. It was like muscle memory, I didn't want to let her go. And in my defense: She hadn't been indicating that she wanted to be let go in the first place.

I couldn't help but wonder how the situation would've played out if we had been alone.
I had just wanted to pull her into my arms and kiss her. Just the thought of it sent a thrill up my spine because, fuck, I could picture it with terrifying clarity, I still remembered her fingers digging into my skin as told me not to hold back, to fill her up, to bite her shoul-

Keza seemed to watch me closely because she was stepping forward, slightly shaking her head no.

"Wow. I mean, really, are you trying to kill her?", Keza said, stumping her foot on the ground as if she had excess energy to get rid of.

"What?", I asked, not getting what she was trying to point out.
Keza was looking at me like I was an idiot. What the heck did I do wrong again, I've been here for barely 5 minutes?

Eventually Keza was getting tired with waiting for me to have a magical revelation so she breathed in deep and then said very slowly, as if she wanted to explain something to a toddler:
"You can't just grab her, flexing your muscles and giving her your sex-eyes when-"

"Sex eyes?", I balked at her but then I quickly chose that this wasn't the hill I wanted to die on, especially when she didn't even flinch at the way I was talking to her.

"Also", she continued, unfazed, "do you curl your eyelashes?"

"Why the f-"
I changed tactics and I tried to reason with Keza instead. "Was I supposed to let Angie fall when we bumped into each other or what?"

"I am just saying", she said, hands up in mock surrender, "that you're not even my type and I'm turned on. But her?"

Keza being turned on by me was clearly a new and unexpected information but I couldn't concentrate on that part right now.
Was Keza indirectly confirming that Angie was still attracted to me?

"I- uhm..", I stuttered, looking over to Sam for some help but he just stood there, clearly enjoying my loss of words. Why was I so weird with unexpected compliments?

When I was flirting with chicks at a bar I could say the most unhinged things but when it came to Angie everything was so real all of the sudden.
Like that time she told me that she thought I was pretty.

"I like to count your freckles." made me feel different than all those "Oh, you're so muscular" from horny waitresses. Not that I minded the sex, hell, I've always been specifically searching for some action but nothing has ever been as real as my relationship with Angie.

Well, until she forgot and I pretended it didn't happen, at least.

"Please continue. I'm missing popcorn but that's fine.", Sam suddenly commented into the silence, smiling at me. Sometimes I forgot how sassy my little brother could be.

"Oh hell.", Keza sighed, starting to move towards the door that Angie disappeared behind. "Forget I said anything."

What the fuck?
Why was she taking it back now?

"You can't just give mysterious advices and then don't explain what they're supposed to mean!", I argued and, to my relief, she turned back around.

"The situation between you and Angie is anything but mysterious.", she mocked, tapping on the door handle with her long fake nails.
Who would deliberately choose to pay for that?
