×Dean POV×

I must admit that I've felt chosen.
It felt good that I had been the one to be able to cure Angie's warmth issues just by being close to her, just by touching her.
It was the proof that there was still something special between us, that I still had the same effect on her even though she couldn't remember what we once had.

And then she stopped it the second it became real. The second that I kissed her on the lips.
Angie basically rejected me.
She might say that it was because we were running out of time, which we were goddamn, but her timing let me to believe that it was bullshit.
Just an easy excuse.

Now we were parked outside an all-you-can-eat restaurant, following the clues that we had to determine where Famine might be.
I was hyper aware of Angie next to me and I almost took her hand in mine because after all that physical contact that we had today I almost forgot.
I almost forgot that that wasn't something we did anymore.

"They have Cas.", she said alarmed, completely out of the blue.

"What?"

"They have Cas.", she repeated. "I can feel his presence, along with demons. Can't tell how many, though."

This was bad. Honestly, I had kind of counted on Castiel that he would be able to bring us the ring. He was an angel, after all. But this sounded like he was being held captured.
Waiting was no option here, I already felt bad enough that Angie and I had enjoyed ourselves a little too much while Sam was still suffering from Famines effects.

We had no choice but to see for ourselves.
"Okay, that's it, we're going in."

Angie opened a back door with her powers and we snuck in, prepared to attack any second.
The restaurant was too calm, I noticed that right away. Everyone in Famines way had probably already been killed, the souls of his victims consumed by him to strengthen his power.

Unfortunately, I was right.
We passed a young man, his head completely in the frier, the oil still hot and bubbling and the smell-
I almost gagged.

Angie and I exchanged a look, then I signaled her that we'd be moving forward, in the seating area of the restaurant. It must've been cruel to boil alive but there was nothing we could do anymore.

And there was Castiel.
The scene in front of me seemed like out of a horror movie because he didn't react even though he must've heard our footsteps. He was on the ground, his back facing us.

"Dean, something's really wrong.", Angie suddenly whispered. I was just about to retort something when I felt a bumb on my head.
I slipped into unconsciousness.

Somehow, I was walking.
Or rather, two demons we're holding me upright.

I forced my eyes to open but my head hurt so much that I almost wished I'd just pass out again.
There was an old man sitting in a wheelchair, with thin and white hair, breathing thanks to tubes that were inserted into his nose.

If I didn't know it any better I'd say this horseman wasn't Famine but actually Death.
This man here was old and slumped and maybe slightly blind.

"The other Mr. Winchester.", he greeted me, his voice exactly how I would've imagined: Weak, low.

I looked around for Angie, instead finding Castiel on the floor next to me. He was shoveling handful of raw meat into his mouth, not even munching on it before just swallowing it down.
"What did you do to him?"
