×Dean POV×
I turned on the sink to brush my teeth. When I looked up again, I saw Cas in the mirrors reflexion standing right next to me.
I flinched."God! Don't do that!", I yelled at him but Cas just stared at me, looking entirely unapologetic.
At this point I should ask myself why I even kept reminding him of his creepy behavior."Hello, Dean.", he said, standing way too close to me.
Would he have appeared if I sat on the toilet?
Would he just appear if I was with a woman? If anything in my time with the angel showed me, then it was that he didn't understand basic boundaries. He just didn't know what was inappropriate and what not, there was no point in explaining, I could only reinforce
"We have talked out this. Personal space.", I reminded him, a little defeated and still trying to calm down from the jump scare."My apologies."
Yeah, whatever.
I placed the toothbrush on the sink, already expecting that the reason why Castiel had shown up here like this would require my unshared attention."How did you find me? I thought I was flying below the angel radar.", I remarked. Was something wrong with our protection? Maybe Angie didn't shield us from every nasty thing that Zachariah threw at us and now we were in danger.
"You're still... not detectable.", he confirmed, slowly nodding. "Although I'm not sure where you got the idea about an angel radar. There's no such thing."
Was he fucking serious?"I didn't mean it literally."
"Interesting. Well, Bobby told me where you were."
Ah, resorting to contacts. Cas was finally learning the old fashioned way to do things. I wanted to make a joke but something about his sudden appearance still wasn't adding up.Castiel was always serious but today there was also something else.
He kept looking around the motel room and I almost asked why he was searching everything as if there was a hidden bomb when he stopped and turned around.
"Where are Sam and Angie?""Sam's doing the laundry.", I said, full well knowing I only provided half of the answer. Maybe it was childish but part of me hoped that Castiel wouldn't notice and wouldn't bring her up again.
"I suppose Angie is helping then?"
Goddamn it, why did I have to spell it out for him? Couldn't he get a simple hint?
There was no reason why Angie would want to stay with us in one room, she didn't really know us anymore. And even worse: In the car it seemed like she didn't even trust me enough to allow herself to sleep.
"We took seperate rooms. So, did you find God yet?""No, I haven't found him. That's why I'm here. I need your help.", Castiel explained.
"With what, God hunt? Not interested."
I knew that I was repeating myself but he just didn't seem to get why I had no desire to find the creator of all this bullshit.
I didn't want to believe that he was real because it would mean that he did all of this on purpose."It's not God, it's someone else.", Castiel interrupted my inner thoughts.
Judging by his tone that 'someone else' didn't want to be found either."Who?"
"It's an archangel. The one who killed me.", he announced as if he delivered the weather prognosis for tomorrow morning.
"Excuse me?"
"His name is Raphael.", Castiel kept going, which honestly just confused me even more.
"You were wasted by a teenage mutant ninja angel?", I asked, even though I right actually expect him to get the reference.
