Chapter 37 The Kyogoku House

When I saw Zenitsu and Tengen walking out like that, I didn't know to be scared or relieved. I know that they were here to rescue me, but Tengen is just gonna end up getting Zenitsu lost as well. Hopefully he didn't bring Tanjiro or Inosuke here too.

Somehow, I've been able to avoid getting any customers this entire month, though many people have requested me. I really just hate this. I hate just being treated like an object day in and day out. I wonder why Tengen brought Zenitsu here instead of another girl. What is Zenitsu gonna do? Come in as a customer?

I was doing chores around the house. The ladies usually make me do most of the chores since I'm the strongest when I hear a knock at the door.

"Don't worry! I'll get it!" I said

I open the door and I see Uzui with his hair down and all his jewelry and face paint off. I guess he's not trying to stand out. Next to him was Zenitsu, dressed up like a girl. He had the worst makeup on I've ever seen and his hair was in pigtails and he wrapped his haori around himself to look like a kimono. I chuckle a little bit.

"What are you doing here?" Uzui whispered to me, already a little irritated for some reason. My guess would be because of Zenitsu.

"Hello, my name is Tengen Uzui and this is Zenko-" Tengen stayed in character

I chuckle a little bit more. This keeps getting better and better. I look at Zenitsu or Zenko and see he looks very relieved. He must have thought I was dead.

"We're wondering if you were hiring." Uzui continued

"Let me go get my chaperon."

I went and got her and the lady was so smitten. I always forget about how good looking Uzui is because I'm around him all the time but every other girl can't keep their eyes off of him.

"If you take her, you can have her clean the toilets or do whatever you want, really. Hell, you don't even have to pay! Just take her!" Uzui explained patting Zenitsu on the head harshly. 

Poor Zenitsu. I could tell Uzui drove him to his wits end.

I think the only reason she took Zenitsu in was because of Uzui's looks. I was a little scared for Zenitsu though. For them to hire you, you had to be able to play the shamisen and I don't know if Zenitsu could do that.

I was so very wrong though. He was the fastest shamisen player I've ever heard of. He did play it very angrily though. I think Uzui did something to piss him off or something. I never knew he could play an instrument.

"That girl sure can play the shamisen." One girl said.

"Yeah, no kidding." I replied

"Does anyone know anything about her?" Another girl asked

"I know she has a good ear for music.I was told she could play the shamisen or koto after just one listen."

"What? She can also play koto? After one listen? That's incredible." I replied again

"It's a pity about her looks, though. I'm surprised she got taken in here." someone said

"What do you mean?!" I said, "I think she looks nice!" I said. All the girls looked at me like I was crazy. I do have to admit, he does not make a very nice looking girl but he's not that bad!

"Sorry Emi, but I can't agree with you on that one, she's hideous but I heard the man who brought her here was drop dead gorgeous! Didn't you see him, Emi?" A girl asked as all the other girls started crowding me
