Chapter 27 Why can't I Remember?

"Are you ready to leave yet y/n chan?" Zenitsu asked me.

"We're not leaving Zenitsu until we kill all the demons!" I say, "You can't change my mind!"

Zenitsu looked at me worried.

"Y/n chan, you must be having nightmares again. We defeated the demons and Muzan months ago now. Don't you remember?"

Wait.. what?!

"I don't remember that! That never happened! How could something like that slip my mind?" I said, questioning myself.

I reach for the sword on my back. It wasn't there. I look down and I'm not wearing my uniform. I was wearing a black Kimono with my haori. My hair was up like I was going on a special occasion

"Are you feeling okay y/n chan? Don't push yourself too hard." he said to me. "You've always have had the tendency to push yourself over your limits, you know."

That's right! How could I forget!? I got engaged to Zenitsu so I was going to go to my old village with him to introduce him to my family! We promised each other that we would get married right after Muzan was defeated! We were about to leave!

We were at my old village before I knew it." Welcome home!" My dad came up to me and gave me a big hug. I was stunned and broke out into tears. I thought he hated me because I.... wait... What did I do again? I didn't care. I finally got to be with my family and Zenitsu happily in a demon free world!

My little brother and sister came running up to me and gave me a hug as well. I hugged them back. They got so much taller! My mom came up to me too and hugged me. Words did not describe how much I missed her! My family welcomed in Zenitsu with open arms. And to think Zenitsu was scared of my family not liking him. When I went inside, Uzui and his wives were waiting for me too!

They got along so well with the rest of my family and were glad to meet each other. Then I saw my big brother in the corner, with his dark blue eyes staring at me that I always loved. I went up and hugged him as he smiled. After I caught up with my family, I heard a knock at the door. It was my best friend! I'm so glad she's still alive! I thought she would have died after the demons attacked our village- Wait... demons never attacked our village... What was I thinking? After we said hello to each other, we went out to that field I always loved to lay with her at.

"I'm so sorry I left you here! I just needed to protect others from demons! That's all!"

"I totally understand," She said with that kind voice of hers, "Don't worry! I was fine. I did miss you a lot and thought about you everyday but I understood. Thank you for writing to me by the way."

"It's nothing! I enjoyed doing it! I hope you know who didn't give you any trouble."

"Who?" she asked confused

"You know... you know who..." I said again

"I don't know who you're talking about."

"The girl who bullied me! Who bullied you too! We swore not to ever say her name so one day we could forget what she did to us!" I explained,

"I've never been bullied in my life. Everyone loved you here y/n, no one ever wanted to hurt you or bully you." She didn't remember.

How many things am I making up?! Wait, what? Who am I talking about?

"Never mind." I said "We should go back inside."

We head back inside to see Zenitsu and Uzui laughing together. Have they met before? They're acting like they've known each other forever or they're childhood best friends. Well, I'm glad they get along.
