After that, I went to the butterfly mansion to just rest up for the next day when I walked through the door to see Kiyo, Sumi and Naho.

"Ms. Y/n!" Sumi said

"Oh, hey you three, long time no see. What's going on?"

"Mr. Zenitsu said that he wants you to meet him in the kitchen for a surprise!" Naho said

"Oooooh.... A surprise huh? What kind of surprise?"

"Well, he told us not to tell....." Kiyo said

"Alright then, I'll go there."

I wonder why Zenitsu wants me in the kitchen. Knowing him he probably-

I see rose petals on the floor.

- wanted to have a super extra romantic dinner today.

I followed the rose petals into the kitchen where Zenitsu was standing, leaning against the table and looking at me, trying to look sexy. He was wearing a suit.

"Hello my wife, I've been expecting you."

I giggle for a second. He had silver plasters on the table covered up and drinks and rose petals on the table and all over the floor and candles set on the table. He handed me some flowers.

"Zenitsu, how long were you waiting for me-"

"That's not important......(It was 3 hours he was standing in that exact spot. He was scared the flowers were gonna die and that the food would go cold so he had to keep quickly putting it back on the stove for a couple minutes). What's important is that we haven't had ourselves a date in far too long and I miss how much fun we used to have so I made a small little date here."

I hug him and giggle some more, "Thank you Zenitsu. This is exactly what I needed. Should I get dressed in better clothes and take a bath fir-"

"NO! Hehe..... Sorry...... If I wait any longer I might go insane."

"So you were waiting a while?"

"That's not important."

He pushed in my chair as I sat down and then uncovers my meal as if he was some sort of fancy butler. It was a teriyaki steak with fried vegetables and fried rice. My mouth was watering.

"Zenitsu........ It smells amazing..."

"Better than Tanjiro's cooking?"

"Definitely...... Can I eat it now?"

"Of course." Zenitsu smiled as I quickly took a bite. My eyes roll back a little.

"It's so good!"

Zenitsu stares at me happily.

"Aren't you gonna eat any Zenitsu?"

Zenitsu snaps out of his trance, "Oh, uh, yeah." He took a bite out of his food.

"Not bad."

I smile and continue to eat my food.

"It's so so goooood!!!!!" He could tell that I was very happy.

"So, you didn't push yourself too hard today, right?" He asked

"Nope, not too hard but I think I'll do better since Genya gave me some tips."

"Genya was there?" Zenitsu looked annoyed

"Yeah, but I don't want you to worry about him stealing me or something. He's a nice guy but I wouldn't leave you!"

"Can you blame me for not wanting the guy that almost took you from me around my wife?"

"It's still fiance Zenitsu and he didn't almost steal me from you."

"Yeah yeah...... I know. I just worry about you so much....... There's so many guys out there that would kill to be with you so I need to protect you. Tanjiro, Genya, Murata, that Riku kid. I can't let them near you."

I giggled and got out of my chair to hug him, "I'm glad that you're so protective but don't stress too much. You'll never lose me."

Zenitsu giggles, "How do you always say the right time?"

"I don't know...... I guess we're just meant to be. Lucky me."

"No, lucky me!" Zenitsu hugs me tighter.

I smile, "Lucky us?"

"Lucky us."

After we finished our food, Zenitsu and I were cuddling each other to sleep when Kiyo, Sumi and Naho peek in. Zenitsu notices.

"Uh... hey girls."

I look over and see them. I was a little embarrassed especially because Zenitsu was shirtless and I was clinging to him and started to give him room but Zenitsu pulled me in again, making me blush.

"Aw... are you shy now that people are watching? It's just Kiyo Sumi and Naho. There's no need to run away from me." He smirked as I blushed, "Anyway girls, what do you need?"

The girls giggled as they looked at us. "We were just wondering how the date went."

Zenitsu looked at me, "Yeah y/n, how did the date go?"

I smile, "It went amazing...... I'm so happy right now."

Zenitsu smiled and hugged me tighter.

"That's good because Zenitsu was working really really hard to make it perfect." Kiyo said, "He spent hours on that and refused any help. He kept working and working. He said he wanted to have better cooking than Tanjiro since you were so impressed with Tanjiro's cooking. He got jealous at you fawning over Tanjiro and so he spent hours making your favorite food perfect and then he leaned against the table to wait for you to arrive. He's so committed to your relationship. It's so cute."

Zenitsu chuckles awkwardly, "Hehehe...... you guys didn't have to include that part."

"No, it's sweet. I can't believe you care so much..... I mean I knew you cared but...... I've never felt so loved in my life."

I wrap my arms around him and nuzzle his neck as the girls giggle some more.

"I think we'll leave you two alone now...." The girls say and close the door.

"I'm in heaven" Zenitsu whispers.

The next day, I woke up and I was hyped for the day. Zenitsu was confused why.

"Hey Y/n, you seem excited for today, why is that?"

"Because I'm going to finish my training! I'm sure of it!"

"How can you be so sure when you're doing Gyomei's training? I can't make any progress."

"I'm sure because I learned repetitive action."

"I don't know what that means but it sounds like a lot of work...."

We make it to Gyomei's training.
