Chapter 70 The Past

Once I was done cleaning her up, it was time for dinner. Inosuke and Tanjiro just got back from training so they looked exhausted. So did y/n. She did a day's worth of training in 6 hours just so she could take care of me. I'm so lucky. I also think all the excitement I gave her wore her out a lot.

Y/n slowly started to eat the food in front of her as she tried not to doze off.

"Y/n, how have you been doing lately?" Tanjiro asked. He still doesn't really know what happened after y/n tried to jump from the tree that one time so he's a little scared for her.

"I've actually been really good lately. I've been really happy." She said smiling.

"That's a lie!" Inosuke said, "don't think I didn't hear you and Monitsu fighting!"

"Fighting?" I asked

"Yeah! You hit her real good! I'm sure it left a nice bruise!"

"I would never hit y/n Chan. I don't know what you're talking about." I said.

"STOP ACTING DUMB! I HEARD (wrong name) SCREAMING YOUR NAME A BIT AGO!"

I blush and look over at y/n Chan.

She blushes and puts her head down on the table in embarrassment.

"Oh no, what were you fighting about?" Tanjiro asked.

"We weren't fighting! We just..... uh..."

"I stubbed my toe." Y/n said, her head still on the table, muffling her speech.

"Yeah! She stubbed her toe! I left something in her room and she stubbed her toe on it! That's why she screamed my name!" I said nervously.

"Tanjiro?" Y/n picked up her head, changing the subject, "didn't you start hashira training not that long ago?"

"Oh yeah! I just finished Mr. Tokito's training today! I wonder what Ms. Kanroji's training is like...."

"Hell....." I mumble. My entire body is sore from her training. She bends you in ways that are inhumane. Thankfully, I start Mr. Iguro's training tomorrow but from what Y/n tells me, it's even worse than Kanroji's.

"Hey, y/n?" Genya walks into the room.

"Oh Genya! Hi! Long time no see! How have you been!?" She asked

I grab onto her protectively. I don't really like when he talks to her.

"I just wanted your opinion on something before I went and did something." Genya said.

"Okay, what's up?" She asks.

"Can we talk in private?" He asks

I tighten my grip on her.

"Yeah, right after I finish my food." She said and Genya walked away.

I pouted at her. She patted me on the head.

"Y/n Chan!~" I whined. She knew I didn't like it when she talked to guys. Even Uzui or Tanjiro.

"I know...." She said

I felt myself tearing up a little. She kissed my forehead.

"How can I make it up to you?"

"What?"

"Since your jealousy is so torturous, how can I repay you for making you go through it?" She said jokingly.

"A date......" I said.
