Chapter 86 At What Cost?

Genya, Muichiro and I had a plan. I was going to make enough room for Muichiro to get to the demon. Muichiro would then hold down the demon so Genya could shoot it. Since Muichiro is already dying, Genya won't have to worry about killing him with his shots and since Muichiro is holding the demon still.

"Moon breathing, sixteenth form-"

BAM BAM BAM BAM BAM!!!!!!

Genya shot at the demon over and over. The bullets that hit the demon then started turning into roots like a tree. It made the demon unable to move. Gyomei then started to charge toward the demon. I started charging along with Gyomei and Sanemi.

The demon bared his fangs as we went for the neck and the demon broke free from the roots and started shooting blades out of his body. I swung around my sword, stopping it from hitting me at all but Muichiro was cut in half. Despite that, Muichiro continued to stab the demon, making sure that he couldn't move even though Muichiro's legs were gone.

Despite everything that was happening, Upper 1 continued to set up another attack. I'm bleeding out bad..... I'm drenched in blood. I can't take much more......

Sanemi then slams his blade against the demon's neck and Genya starts using his blood demon art to start to grow another tree out of the demon's back, making it unable to move. I gotta do something, NOW!

"Sound breathing, first form, improved, ROAR OF THUNDER!!!!"

I went right through the demon's chest and the demon began to spaz as if getting hit by lightning. These moves, I created them. I started working on them every day after the swordsmith village arc. I was going to make a whole new breathing style from it but I didn't have time but I was able to make 3 moves that are a cross of sound and thunder. I have only mastered one but....... I can't use that one more than once so I haven't used it yet. All I've used is my moves, roar of thunder and music of the thunder storm.

Gyomei then came from behind and was about to behead the demon as I continued to stab the demon. Then Sanemi helped Gyomei by putting more force on his mace, making the demon's head finally fall off.

I stopped stabbing the demon and tumbled out of its reach. We....... did it........ Then the most terrifying thing happened. The bleeding from the demon's neck stopped. Oh god......

"Don't let up your attacks!" Gyomei screamed, "Don't let Tokito's and Genya's lives go to waste."

Wait...... Genya? I turn around to see Genya, vertically cut in half.

"GENYAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!" I scream and cry.

Sanemi started crying too, "BRING IT ON DEMON!!!!"

I can't cry right now.......... When did that happen? When did he die? Why couldn't he regenerate? I just need to kill this thing.

"Sound breathing, fourth form, constant resounding slashes!"

"Wind breathing, eighth form, primary gale slash!"

"Stone breathing, fifth form, arcs of justice!"

We all ruthlessly attack at the same time. We can't let this up.

Then, the demon regenerated its head. It had a bigger mouth this time and horns.

"Dammit! That bastard grew back its head!" Sanemi screamed.

"It's probably fragile now!" Gyomei screamed back, "Keep attacking! Hit the neck again and again!"

"Sound breathing, first form, Roar!"

We all started attacking over and over as Muichiro laid on the floor dead and Genya laid across the room, dying. The demon's body slowly started to crumble as if it was made of sand. We continued to attack it and attack it until it was nothing. Absolutely nothing.
