"They are acting like superstars. Bad"

"Yes coach, I know, but they still do your routine, what do you suggest?"

"After this. They, go"

"Where?"

"Any.. less people, they, not famous. They, work hard. They, live normal people"

"Province?"

"Yes, sila... hirap"

"Nice idea coach, I will set it, province after this, last game on Saturday"

"Good. Be there, see you"

Few weeks ago...

JIA'S POV

Calm down, everything is fine.. 

Just one more and then you'll win. 

I watch the ball landed in front of ate Ly, tense moments here, people who wear green cheers. 

They served the ball, everything is like a slow motion. 

Ate Den digs the ball, I look at it as it bounce from her hand to the air. 

I watch the ball again as it reaches it's maximum height. 

I looked at ate Ly who nods. I closed my eyes for a second as I felt the ball in my fingers. 

Without any hesitation, I tossed it high to ate Ly's direction. 

My mind told me to get ready because there's a chance that they can still save it, but my body knows better, as the ball bounces at the court of our opponent, everyone around me erupted to cheers. 

I looked at my team mates who is crying. I found myself in my best friend's arms. My tears escaped my eyes. 

It's done. 

We won.

I saw Synjin distributed the championship shirts. I stare for it for a few seconds. 

Yes, we did it. We're the champion. We made history. 

"Jia! Wah!" Lumingon ako sa likod ko at nagtakbuhan sa akin ang mga batchmates ko. 

So much for us, rookies, it's just our first year pero championship ka agad. 

We step into a flat form as we received the medal that is made of sweat, blood, courage, determination and hardwork. 

It all pays off. 

"Let us know welcome, UAAP Season 76 volleyball champions! The Ateneo de Manila University, Lady Eagles!" 

As we enter the studio, we can hear some cheers and clap around us. 

"Wow, I never thought na makikita ng ibang tao ang mukha ko sa TV bukod sa UAAP" Bulong sa akin ni Mich. 

"What's next for the Lady Eagles?" 

"After at least a week of rest, we will be back for our training for the Shakey's V leagues" Sagot ni ate Ly. 

"Why join another competition where you just made a history by winning the UAAP?" 

Nice question.

"It will help us to gain more experience, especially we will be facing other schools, bukod po sa schools from UAAP" Sagot ulit ni ate Ly. 

I'm not needed here, bakit ba buong team pa ang ininvite kung sila ate Ly lang naman ang tinatanong? 

Urgh! So much frustrations! I don't want to be rude. Sobrang dami na din sigurong iniisip at sobrang pagod. 

I just faked my smile util the last second of this show.

"That's a nice question though,  bakit pa ba tayo mag v league, diba? I mean, duh, we're dead tired, we just came from a competition, and after a week, twice a day nanaman ang training, oh God, the management wants to kill us" Reklamo ni Marge.

"Dude, just go with it. Kesa naman sa wala" Sagot ko.

"Don't act like you want this Jia" Sabi niya. 

"I don't actually, this is the worse, I mean I came here to play UAAP, now we won, I don't see anything para may V League pa tayo, like hindi pa natin na prove na we are the best" Sagot ko. 

She nodded with my batchmates, I have a point right? 

I'm here, na ayaw sa mga susunod na mangyayari, ang hindi namin alam, may nakikinig pala sa likod namin, who shook his head in disbelief on what I just said. 

"I hate it. I hate evrything, I'm tired, I want to die" Bulong ko as I set the ball for almost 200th time. 

"What is it, Jia?" Tanong ni coach. 

"Nothing" Sagot ko and faked a smile. 

"Huddle up!" Sigaw niya bigla. So we did. 

"Tomorrow's game would be Arellano, like you, they were champions sa NCAA, wag niyong maliitin ang kalaro" Sabi niya. 

"Psh, as if they can beat us" Bulong ni Gi after the short meeting.

"They can't" Paninigurado ni ate Mae. 

Umiling na lang ako na pumunta sa stock room to put the balls, that's what rookies are for, this is like our initiation. 

Paglabas ko ng gym ay nagaantay na sila para bumalik ng dorm. 

To end this day that we consider as a nightmare.

"This saturday, you will be spending a month somewhere, inayos ko na ang lahat, ang kailangan niyo na lang dalhin ay ang mga damit niyo at ang sarili niyo" 

"Is this a vacation sir Tony boy?" Excited na tanong ni Marge.

"Well, you could say that" Sagot niya. 

"At last!" Sigaw ng karamihan. 

The girls are celebrating that tehy didn't see the expression on the team manager's face.
