Chapter 13

"..Bea, our new recruit"

Jia thought she lost it. She did not expect this one, she did not even saw this coming.

Maybe she has hints that Bea will be closer to them when she learned that Bea is niece of their manager. Pero she did not expect that it will be so soon, Bea is indeed infront of them.

Jia knows some eyes are now looking at her, one for sure is Mich's.

"Hi" Mahinang sabi ni Bea sa mga babaeng nasa harap niya na nakasama niya ng isang buwan.

"You are not!" Sigaw ni Jamie totally oblivious to what her batchmate is feeling.

And from then on, nabasag na ang katahimikan ng team at isa isa ng tumakbo palapit kay Bea para yakapin ito.

Of course except for Jia. She did go nearer Bea, but she did not hug her, she just stayed in the shadows of her team mates as they celebrate.

"Catch up later, you should train already" Sabi ni sir tony boy. So they did. Although meron pa ding daldalan.

They started their training with a warm up.

Jia stand as far as she can from Bea but then hindi pa din niya maiwasan na tignan si Bea.

After the warm up, they ran around the oval. Jia was half expecting Bea would give up this 10 laps of running around the oval as Jia did when she first joined the team. But then Bea did not, so Jia again, reminded herself that Bea is something and she should not look down on anything about Bea.

Actually, the first one who finished the 10 laps is Jia, followed by Bea.

"O, sakto pala, Jia ipasa mo na ang trono mo sa mga rookies, turuan mo itong si Bea mag set up ng court" Sabi ni coach Parley.

Wala namang magawa si Jia, kaya kahit labag sa kanyang loob ay ginawa niya ito.

Kahit hindi tinignan ni Jia si Bea ay alam niyang naka sunod ito sakanya.

Silently Jia get the things, she silently counted the balls and put it into the cart.

"Ilan to?" Tanong ni Bea.

"40" Maikling sagot ni Jia.

"Ano pa kailangan?" Tanong ulit nito.

"Net, nasa cage lang" Sagot ni Jia as she continue counting the balls.

Bea looked at Jia for a few seconds before getting the net.

Hinintay ni Jia makuha ni Bea ang net bago patayin ang ilaw sa storage room at nauna na pumunta ng court.

Tinanggal ni Jia ang nakalagay sa court na pagtatayuan ng poste for the net, and Bea did the same on the other side.

Tumakbo na si Bea para kunin ang poste at itayo ito.

Nagsimula naman si Jia na ayusing ang net para isabit ito sa poste.

Ng sinabit ito ni Jia ay dapat iikutin ito para itaas pero kinuha ni Bea ang bakal na iniikot para tumaas ang net.

"Ako na" Sabi ni Bea.

"Ako na, manuod ka na lang para alam mo na next time" Sabi ni Jia.

Hindi na umangal pa si Bea at tinignan na ang ginagawa ni Jia.

"Julia.." Pagsisimula ni Bea.

Umakto na lang si Jia na hindi narinig ang sinabi ni Bea at patuloy na inayos ang net.

"Julia" Paguulit ni Bea.
