Seblos: A Thousand Years

Carlos and Seb had been in a relationship for six years, and they had a baby a couple months ago. A beautiful daughter named Graciella Dream Rodriguez-Matthew-Smith.

Carlos and Seb first started dating in high school, and they remained together throughout college in New York. Their dreams together was to be actors, but with the auditions they booked and went for, they never got the parts for any musicals, and they were in despair. So with their dreams on hold until they figure out what to do, they both dropped out of their school after about a year and moved back to Salt Lake. After they got home, Seb continued to help on his family's farm while getting a job at coffee shop and Carlos would work as a waiter at a restaurant. About a year later, they bought a house together and happily lived together since then. But there was one thing as they had discussed about what part of their future was going to be like for the both of them: having a family.

So one day, Carlos was feeling ill and didn't know why. Then Seb took him to see a doctor where they found out that Carlos was pregnant at a month along. Even though, they did not plan to have children in that sort of way, but Carlos found it scary about becoming a pregnant man. But Seb told him that everything was going to be okay and he would never do anything to leave him. So, Carlos and Seb told their families who found the situation confusing, but they explained it and decided to go with it.

8 months later, Carlos gave birth to a baby girl, and he and Seb named her Graciella, but sometimes they would call by her nickname, Gracie. Everyone was happy for the couple when they got to meet the baby, and Carlos and Seb were starting to make great fathers. But what they didn't realize yet until then was how hard parenting was for the both of them as they thought they knew what they were doing but didn't. They adjusted parenthood for the last couple of months, and they both love their daughter very much. But sometimes they didn't get as much sleep anymore whenever their daughter would often cry in the middle of the night, and they settle it by taking turns on taking care of their daughter. They did everything they could do, like changing her diapers or giving her a bottle, and they would also have any of their family members or friends to come by and help out. And at other times, Carlos and Seb tried to figure out what Graciella wanted, but they almost did not know what to do anymore. But it was until that one night when their lives were gonna change but in a perfect way.

Carlos and Seb were in bed together, trying to get some sleep as possible without the interruptions of Graciella's cries, but then...

"WAAAAAH!"

Carlos's eyes shot wide open when he overheard Graciella's crying on the baby monitor. So he was getting up, but he felt a hand that grabbed him from behind his shoulder.

"No, Carlos. You sleep," Seb had awaken.

"But Gracie..." Carlos tried to protest.

"It's okay. I got her. You get some rest," Seb said.

"Oh, Seb. I couldn't let you do that," Carlos told him.

"Well, it's my turn, anyway," Seb predicted.

"Okay," Carlos said before drifting himself back to sleep.

"Yeah, that's right. Sleep away, my prince," Seb petted his hair.

Then he planted a kiss on Carlos's head before getting up from the bed and walking out of the bedroom with a t-shirt and a pair of boxers on.

Seb walked into Graciella's room where she was wailing in her crib and he carefully picked her up.

"Shh, shh, It's okay, Gracie. Daddy's here," Seb hushed his daughter.
