Seblos: Love Will Light The Day

Summary: Seb is pregnant. When he and Carlos find out they're expecting a girl at 20 weeks, Seb feels anxiety, and he's having doubts about whether he would make a good dad or not. But Carlos steps in to help.

Seb and Carlos had been inseparable throughout their relationship. They had been dating since high school, and after they graduated, they both got an apartment together as they attended at NYCDA in New York, where they both wanted to be theatre actors. And then two years later, they graduated and got their degrees. Carlos and Seb were excited to step into the future of having successful careers, but then things were about to change their lives.

One day, while Carlos went out to his audition for the musical, Cabaret, Seb had a stomach bug. He almost couldn't figure out why he was feeling quite sick, and he was for sure it could not be a fever. But then, he started to sense something that he thought seemed impossible. He was scared that he might be pregnant. So, he went out to a pharmacy to get a pregnancy test. When he got back to the apartment, he went into the bathroom to take the test. While waiting for the results, he was scared on how he should tell Carlos just when they were going to be broadway stars.

When the timer went off, Seb, in nervousness, looked down at the test and saw a little plus sign, knowing what this meant.

"Positive," Seb said to himself.

And in that moment, Seb felt his heart beating loudly like a drum. He didn't know what to do. How is he going to tell Carlos? What would his family say? How will his friends react to the news?

Then he heard a door unlocked.

"Seb? I'm back!"

Carlos! Seb was hesitating on what he should do. But in defeat, he slowly opened the bathroom door and stepped out. He walked up in the kitchen area where Carlos was making a sandwich until he saw Seb.

"Oh, hi honey!" Carlos smiled.

Seb smiled nervously

"Uh, hi. How'd your audition go?" Seb asked.

"It went pretty well, actually. They said they'd call," Carlos answered.

"Oh, that's... that's great," Seb said.

While Carlos continued making his sandwich, Seb started to feel discouraged, but he was going to have to tell Carlos.

"Carlos?"

"Yeah?"

"There's something I have to tell you," Seb started to speak.

"What is it, Seb? Is everything okay?" Carlos asked.

"Well, I'm not entirely sure how I should tell you this," Seb stated.

"Tell me what?" Carlos questioned.

"I think you should sit down and hear me out," Seb suggested.

Then Seb and Carlos, with food on his plate, both sat down at the table.

"Now, what's going on with you?" Carlos questioned again.

Seb's heart was beating once again as he was feeling shaky. But then he took a slow, deep breath and took Carlos's hands.

"Carlos... I'm pregnant."

Carlos went into shock for a moment and did not say a word.

"Carlos? Are you okay? Say something," Seb begged.

Carlos still didn't say anything as it was almost getting complicated for Seb as he started to explain.

"I honestly don't know how it happened, but when I took the pregnancy test five minutes before you came home, I didn't think it was possible. Here. See?"
