HSMTMTS: Seblos/Rodfini Mpreg Oneshots/Requests

Seblos: Amazing Parents

Summary: Seb and Carlos discuss about how hard it's been for Seb with his abilities for fatherhood not long after he accidentally hit his and Carlos's baby daughter on her head against the wall. But Carlos tells him that he's an amazing dad. But then, the two husbands accidentally locked their daughter in the car and starts panicking.

Notes: This story is based on the events of the Modern Family episode "Run for Your Wife". There will be a few changes from the original storylines into alternations and will be adding more to end the story. This is a past mpreg.

Carlos and Seb were walking to their car from the hospital where they brought their baby daughter, Rosa, there after Seb accidentally hit her on the head. While he was carrying Rosa in her seat, Seb was having some troubles on how he was dealing with being a good father since that incident a few hours earlier at home. 

Carlos (opening the car door): Here, let me get it.

Seb: Thank you. (then gets nervous) You know what, actually, maybe you should do this.

Carlos: Why?

Seb: I-I don't want to bump her head again the door. You know, pinch her with the seat belt.

Carlos: Seb, how long are you gonna beat yourself up over one mistake? Is this gonna be like the blonde highlights all over again?

Seb: I just... I think I suck at being a father.

Carlos (while walking around the car door): What are you talking about? We're new at this. (puts diaper bag in backseat, and then Rosa)

Seb: Yeah, but you're such a natural. (While Carlos buckles up Rosa) I mean, look at you. You walk into the room, and she lights up. You change her diaper with one hand. I-- nice. (looks away) I'm actually jealous of you.

Carlos: There are so many things that you do that I can't. You-- you baby-proofed the entire house. You finally opened yourself up on how you wanted to have children when you told me how you changed your mind on not wanting that at first, because of how you were scared. Even back before we got married. I mean, without you, we wouldn't even have a baby to injure.

Seb (recalling how he got Carlos pregnant): There were a few small things that we found unexpectingly surprising. Actually, a lot.

Carlos: And you got her on all those preschool waiting lists. (after talking about it earlier)

Seb (in disbelief): I can't believe you were gonna wait until she was old enough.

Carlos: You see, that's what makes us a great team. We each have our own strengths. 

And for that, Seb was actually starting to feel a little better.

Carlos: Now, who are amazing parents?

Seb (half-smiled): We are. 

Carlos (with a small smile): I can't hear you.

Seb (proudly): We are!

Carlos (points at Seb): Don't you forget it.

Then Carlos closed the door and walked a few steps to the driver's seat, with Seb following behind, and he tried to open the door. But the funny thing was that it wasn't opening when Carlos jiggled on the handle a bit. For a second, they did not understand until they realized what just happened.

Seb (points at Rosa inside the car): Did we just lock our baby in the car?

Carlos: Did you put the keys in the bag?!

Seb: I put the keys in the bag. That's what we always--

Carlos: Oh, Sebastian, I told you not to put the (as he smacks the top of the car in frustration) keys in the bag!
