They had finally made it in front of Lisa's apartment after eating and Lisa had to admit, she didn't want to get out of Jennie's car. Jennie was fun to be around. She had always noticed it, but that night was different because that time, they were alone. No friends, no fiancé. Just Jennie and Lisa."I think I'm going to go there every week," Jennie sighed happily, leaning forward and resting the side of her head in the steering wheel, smiling at Lisa. The kind of smile that could melt a cold world. She looked absolutely content and that idea alone made Lisa feel like she was invincible because she was the cause of that smile.
Or at least she hoped so.
Lisa chuckled and nodded in agreement, resting her head on the head rest, "I'm glad you liked it."
"Liked it? I loved it! I can't believe I've never been there before."
"Neither can I. You've been missing out." Lisa didn't mean to sound that way. Then again, in what way? What did she sound like? Because it must've been strange from the look Jennie was giving her. The look caused an odd drumming in her chest. She suddenly felt warm in the car.
"Yeah," Jennie paused, clearing her throat, "I guess I have." Their eyes were locked, the air thickened and Lisa's heart thrashed around so loudly that she could hear it echoing in her ears. Lisa shifted awkwardly and grinned,
"Thanks for the ride," she coughed, "I'll see you around?" Lisa placed her hand on the handle and Jennie sat up suddenly and coughed, brushing her hair with her fingers,
"Yeah, of course." She exhaled and smiled at Lisa, "Goodnight, Lisa." Her voice was soft and warm. Lisa couldn't help but smile bashfully in return as she opened the door,
"Goodnight, Jennie." She slid out and closed the door. But as she turned towards her apartment entrance, she heard the car window roll down and Jennie calling for her name. She turned around and walked back to the car, "Yeah?"
Jennie cheekily smiled, "You're going to answer my calls this time, right?" Lisa chuckled, crossing her arm,
"Is that a demand, Kim?" Jennie smirked,
"Maybe." Her voice dragged in such a sexy way that Lisa nearly squealed and ran to her apartment like she was in high school again ready to write in her diary about her crush. Lisa shook her head, laughing quietly at Jennie and her imagination,
"Then I guess I don't have a choice."
Jennie chuckled, playfully rolling her eyes, "No, no you do not." She teased. Before Lisa could even retort, Jennie had winked before driving off.
Lisa had finally crawled onto her bed when she noticed her text tone going off. She reached for it on her bed side table and immediately felt a smile break out.
Jennie: Made it home! Couldn't stop thinking about the market the whole drive home.
Lisa chuckled before tapping away,
Lisa: Welcome to the club. I dream of the hotteok (a/n: a Korean sweet pancake) every single night! It's quite addicting.
Lisa placed it down and began to tuck herself in her bed and as she settled, her text tone went off again and she quickly snatched her phone.
Jennie: That was definitely one of my favorites!! Remind me to always ask for your opinion on where to eat.
Lisa: Oh please, nothing can compare to your cooking.
Lisa turned off the light before looking at her phone and watching the text bubbles in anticipation. She had never been this excited or happy to be texting anybody.
