When I awoke in the morning, I was still wrapped tightly in Buggy's arms. During the night, I had turned around. So, now, I was pressed against his chest. From this position, all I could smell was him. He smelled incredibly.

His smell was something that I could never quite describe. It was this deeply masculine smell - clearly he was wearing some sort of cologne. Part of me wanted to ask him what brand he bought so that when he left me at my town, I could buy it and have something to remind me of him.

That thought was dangerous. It was clear to me that, even with my extreme distance to him, I still had some sort of feelings for him. It was frustrating. I couldn't seem to repress these feelings.

"Good morning," Buggy suddenly whispered, in a deep husky voice. His morning voice was the sexiest thing on this entire planet. "I feel like shit."

"You'd feel even worse if I hadn't given you water."

He smiled at that, looking down at me with this soft look in his emerald eyes. God, his eyes were just so beautiful.

"I guess I'll need to reward you for your kind gesture."

My mind went to a bad place when he had said that. I pushed those sorts of thoughts far away.

"Reward me how?"

"Apparently there's a frozen lake in this town - somewhere in the forest. One of my clowns said."

I was still non the wiser. "My reward is... a frozen lake?"

"Your reward is ice skating with me. Consider yourself very lucky, Bets, because I'm one hell of a skater."

"What's ice skating?"

Buggy looked shocked. "You really don't even know what ice skating is?"

"We never had ice in my town."

"I always forget that you've seen such little of this world. There's so much I have to show you."

That made me smile a little. I liked the idea of him showing me things. The world was such a vast place and, without him, I would not be able to see any of it.

"I'm so cosy though," I heard myself say without thinking.

I thought Buggy might mock me for it but instead he pulled me in tighter to him. "We don't have to go right away. We can stay in bed for as long as you want."

My face glowed red. I couldn't even attempt to hide it. "B-Buggy -"

"Oh, calm down. It's almost embarrassing how easily I can rile you up."

"I'm not riled up."

"Sure, whatever you say, Boop. I felt you this morning basically sniffing me."

This is so embarrassing. "You're just making things up now, Bug."

"Am I?" He asked slowly, drawing out the words. "Or is there still a part of you that goes crazy whenever you're close to me?"

"There was never that part to begin with," I told him as coldly as I could manage.

It was all a lie, of course. Every inch of my being went crazy for him. He felt like some sort of drug that I could never get enough of.

He shrugged. "If you say so."

After that, we just lay in each others arms in silence. Our relationship was a confusing one. We cuddled, shared a bed and called each other cute nicknames, and yet I insisted that we were just friends. Just friends was something we were failing to be.

We cuddled for another hour or so, before Buggy finally said it was time to get up. I grudged him when he had said it. I could have laid here forever in his arms if he had let me.

We made breakfast in the kitchen. Well, I made breakfast. Buggy couldn't even figure out how to turn the cooker on.

"Let me do it," I told him, easily working it. It wasn't too different than the ones we had in my town. "What are we feeling for breakfast?"

"What can you cook?" He asked, flinging open the fridge and digging about.

"Anything. What do they have?"

"We have cheese, bread, milk, some meat -"

"How about cheese toasties? I can even fry some meat and put it in if you want."

His face lit up at that. "You're amazing, do you know that?"

I laughed at that. "All it takes to win you over is cheese toasties?"

"I'm a simple man," He told me as he handed me over the bread, cheese and some meat. "I'll be fixing my make-up as you do that."

His make-up had become even more of a mess than it had been last night. Still, It covered his features. It made me sad that I had never seen him completely barefaced from make-up before.

As I cooked, I kept an eye on him. I enjoyed watching him do his make-up. He was just so good at it, it was like he didn't even need to think about it as he did it. That made sense since he wore it every single day.

I gave him his food first, as well as a cup of strong coffee. He gave me a wide smile, which looked crazy with his now painted red lips.

"You're an angel."

Him calling me an angel gave me butterflies. When I was done cooking my food, he was almost done his.

"Is it okay?"

"Okay? It's the best fucking food I've ever had," He told me, sounding genuine.

Him enjoying my food gave me this warm feeling. Back home, I did a lot of the cooking. It was something I really enjoyed doing. I always did it for the people I loved, and now I was doing it for Buggy.

"I'll need to cook for you more often."

"Don't let my clowns find out you're a good cook. They'll chain you to the kitchen if they find out."

"It'll be our secret."

I didn't put it past his clowns to actually chain me inside of the kitchen. I'd have to bank on Dilly or Buggy saving me if they did.

"Are you excited for today?" He asked, taking a swig of his coffee.

"I am, but I'm also nervous. Is skating on ice hard?"

"It depends on the ice. We should be able to find some ice skates actually, since this is a winter town."

"Ice skates?"

"They're these shoes with blades on the bottom, it makes sliding on the ice easier."

"Blades?" I was confused. This whole sport seemed so odd. Who thought to put blades on shoes to skate around on ice with? "How do you balance?"

"It's difficult but you get the hang out of it after a while. Don't worry, I'll let you hold my hand if you can't stand up on your own," He told me softly, smiling at me.

I just focused on my food, embarrassed all of a sudden. "How's the hangover?" I asked, wanting to change the subject.

"Horrific. The cheese is helping, though."

"Cheese helps everything."

"Amen to that."
