It took hours for the clowns to clean up their mess. It was a lot of damage that they had caused - more than what they had done to my town, which was saying a lot.

Once they were done, the town looked much better but still pretty demolished. A couple of buildings were burned down completely (I guess the arsonist hadn't listened to Buggy), windows were still broken although the glass had been cleared.

As the clowns headed back to the boat, I saw multiple dagger stares directed at me. I wasn't popular - I knew that. I just hoped my lack of popularity wouldn't negatively impact Buggy.

"Should we head back?" I asked Buggy, praying he would finally say yes.

I had convinced him to sit down, at least, as we waited for the clowns to clean. Still, he looked absolutely exhausted. More than exhausted.

Underneath his eyes, even with the blue make-up, were deep black bags. It looked as if he hadn't slept in weeks. Had he slept last night? I hoped he had.

His movements were also slow, dulled. Was that due to the hypothermia?

"Sure. Can you help me?"

I was more than happy to but before I could, a new voice chimed up. I immediately recognised it as Henrik, the man who had saved Buggy's life.

"I wanted to thank you," He said, talking directly to Buggy. That surprised me. Even after this kind deed, the damage done to his down was still immense. "I didn't really expect that you would take mercy on us."

Buggy looked at me, and I realised he didn't know who this was. "This is Henrik, the man who saved your life."

A smile played on the edge of Buggy's lips. "The Greek God?"

I had forgotten I had lied about that. My cheeks flushed, and I repressed the smile that was trying to spread onto my face.

"The what?"

"Don't worry about it," I told him, embarrassed beyond explanation.

Buggy suddenly went to step forward, but stumbled and fell. I helped him back to his feet, feeling him lean all of his weight against me. He was heavy, but I did everything in my power to help keep him up.

Once he was stable, he looked Henrik in the eyes. "It should be me thanking you. Betty said that you saved my life, gave me CPR."

"I just did what any doctor would do."

"Most doctors wouldn't save a man like me."

Henrik nodded, clearly agreeing. "Your girlfriend did a good job convincing me."

Buggy's face lit up with a smile at that. I thought he might correct Henrik because, technically, we weren't dating. We hadn't put a label on it. Not that I didn't want to. The idea of being his girlfriend made me feel giddy with excitement.

"She's..." Buggy started, then seemed to be loss for words. "She's great."

Just great? I had been hoping for a better word, but great was okay, too.

"Captain?" Dilly asked, striding over to us. As she did, I could see she was eyeing up Buggy leaning against me. I was worried he looked weak right now.

"Yes?"

"Bozo and some of the other men found a ship - a large ship. It seems this town hid it, they didn't want us to find it. We could take it. It'd be a massive benefit to have two ships."

My heart dropped at that. Once again, this situation had no win. If they stole the ship, this town lost something they clearly valued and needed. If Buggy told them they weren't allowed to, they would hate us even more.
