Now it's time for some family fun!
Here are the Guten sisters!
First up is Shasa!
Shasa is the Goddess of Loyalty. As the patron of faithfulness, she is a very strict deity that prioritizes loyalty above all else. Those who stay loyal to their associates, she treats with warmth and compassion. Those who are known to go back on their word, she turns a cold shoulder to.
Her job is to ensure that humans remain faithful to each other. When they form ties with others, if she deems their loyalties as worthy, she will keep outside forces from interfering with them. Humans put up charms and statues of her in offices and club houses to ensure that their members remain together as a team. They say that successful teams are as such because they remain in Shasa's good graces.
Next up is little Honey!
Honey is the Goddess of Friendship. As the patron of good relationships, she is a very bubbly and energetic deity. She treats every new person she comes across as her new best friend, and is quick to try and cheer them up if need be.
Her job is to bring like-minded people together so that they always have someone to turn to in times of need, or just for the simplest of things. She then ensures that these friendships remain safe from outside forces that seek to break them up; they say that friendships that last for years are thanks to Honey's blessing. Friendships that don't last for as long are said to have fallen out of her favor.
Together, they are known as the Guardians of Family. Their combined efforts protect families around the world, whether they're blood-related or emotionally close, from outside forces that seek to break them apart. Honey brings them together while Shasa makes sure that the people remain faithful to each other.
Both sisters are depicted with flowers that symbolize their elements. Shasa is depicted with a blue gladiolus in her hair and streams of blue hyacinths from her hair pin; both flowers symbolize loyalty and commitment. Honey is depicted with ornaments in her hair that trail pink chrysanthemums; flowers that symbolize friendship.
The patterns on Shasa's kimono originate from her chest to symbolize that true loyalty comes from the heart. Honey is depicted wearing friendship bracelets to symbolize the pure, childish core of true friendships. Her haori also has designs reminiscent of turtle doves, which are also a symbol of friendship and love; it also represents the freedom that comes with people that truly care for someone.
