Rickson is the God of Riddles. As the patron of puzzles, he can be a very tricky, yet infuriating, deity. He speaks in nothing but riddles, which makes holding a conversation with him incredibly difficult. Someone could ask him for the time of day and he would give them an elaborate tongue twister just to tell them that it's 3:30 in the afternoon.

He created forms of writing like riddles and poems, and taught them to humans. He meant them as a way for humans to express themselves, and test their minds against the written word of others.

His riddles also serve another purpose. The words and rhymes that he creates are said to be so elaborate and deep in meaning that it can take decades to discover the true meaning of even one of them. To that end, he has often been called upon to lay one of his riddles across the entrance of a tomb or a treasure chamber. Only those who can decode the riddle can lay claim to the riches inside. Ever heard of the Riddle of the Sphinx? That was his doing.

Be advised that if you try to decode a riddle, you can't call upon Rickson himself for help - he never gives anyone, even other deities, a straight answer for anything, and why would he help you decode one of his riddles? In his mind, deciphering a riddle by oneself is half the fun.

What do you think of God Rickson?

And I made a new list, so I hope you're good at listening - Orochi is up next!
