Time for everyone's favorite hospital buddy!
Here's Ryota!
Ryota is the God of Cats. As the patron of small felines, he is a very playful deity that tries to show love and affection to all those around him. And if someone is feeling down, he is one who will not hesitate to break out the cat jokes.
He created the species of domestic cat. He creates them using whatever materials he has on hand and then breathing life into them, making him one of the handful of deities who can create life from scratch, and also the youngest. Though he easily gets jealous of the pampering his creations receive from humans, so he'll sometimes take the form of a cat to get in on the fun. And if there's something he enjoys more than cat jokes, it's gifts and the act of giving them to those he likes. If you have a cat or come across one, be sure to treat it with respect - it may just be the God of Cats in disguise, and he may just give you a gift as a reward.
He is the younger brother of Daigo, the God of Deliverance, and despite their completely different personalities, the two are still very close. Ryota knows how important his brother's job is, and is willing to do whatever he can to help him out. For instance, Daigo wasn't always associated with cats - Ryota had a hand in that.
In the beginning of the universe, Daigo performed all of his acts of deliverance by himself, which left him even more stressed than usual. All of Heaven eventually took notice, especially his brother. Ryota wanted to find a way to alleviate some of his brother's workload, so he came up with an idea. He had two cats who were his most loyal companions, and when they eventually passed, Ryota handed their bodies over to Daigo and asked him to use their spirits as a way to assist him in his acts. As the legend goes, that was the first and only time Daigo ever smiled. He added the bones of the cats to his scythes and has been faithfully utilizing them ever since. He still summons them on occasion to simply say hello to their creator.
What do you think of God Ryota?
And if you're an athlete, you're in luck - Lodin is up next!
The list is getting short, so to keep it going for longer, who do you want to see as a god next?
