Lodin is the God of Games. As the patron of various competitions, he is a very strict god that prioritizes proper sportsmanship above all else. Any form of cheating does not go unnoticed or unpunished in his presence. That being said, he's also a bit of a trickster. If one wants a piece of information from him, or some form of divine favor, they have to complete one of his games. If they complete the game and win fair and square, he'll provide them with what they need.
He created the numerous sports of using one's physical attributes to compete against others, and taught them to humans as a way to see how they stacked up against each other. He delights in the process of finding which human is the strongest against all others. Those who come out on top are considered "Lodin's Champions". Those who lose, Lodin passes over entirely - he doesn't tend to care for those who he deems "weak".
Though he's not above taking notice when someone is trying their hardest. When he notices a steadfast competitor, he can decide whether or not to assist them in their quest for victory. If he does decide to assist, he will present them with the golden wreath on his brow. It contains only a small portion of his power, but it's enough to help whichever human that wears it absolutely smoke the competition.
