Levi sighed as he looked at the clock on his bedside table. It was 3am. He wished he could just sleep like a normal person, even before the incident he was plagued by insomnia. He slowly got up, deciding nothing good would come to him if he was just laying there awaiting sleep that never seemed to come. Levi made his way to the kitchen and got out a glass, filling it with the golden liquid and taking a long drink. Sometimes alcohol was the only thing that could knock him out. After finishing the glass he poured another.

Levi awoke to a loud banging noise. Tiredly, he turned over and squinted at the clock. The numbers 6:00 glowed red in the dull light. Only two hours of sleep. Much to his dismay, this was something he had become accustomed to. The noise continued, and he figured it was coming from his goddamn neighbor. Grumbling in annoyance, he slid out of his bed, making sure to smooth the crumpled sheets back into place before slowly walking to the bathroom.

Levi looked at his reflection in the mirror and sighed. He was sick of looking so tired all of the time. The dark circles under his grey eyes clashed against his porcelain skin. He couldn't remember the last time he had gotten a good night's rest. A flashback of his nightmare shot through his head.

Petra looked at him and smiled. Her contorted body managed to lift a bloodied finger, pointing directly at Levi. "You did this to me." She taunted.

Levi shook his head trying to get the recurring nightmare out of his mind. He splashed cold water on his face before stepping into the shower. The warm water always helped him relax. After 10 minutes he stepped out of the shower and back into reality. He dried himself off, running the fluffy towel over his scarred body.

He was littered with scars, some from his time in the Survey Corps, others from himself. Levi grimaced at the small jagged cuts on his arms, proof that at one point he didn't think he was strong enough to endure this shitty life anymore.

It had all been too much: The memories, the dreams, the lack of sleep. Levi was in a disheveled panic when he decided that this was it. He didn't want this life anymore. He couldn't handle the guilt. 'Death should be easier right?' He thought. He found himself in the bathroom and grabbed his razor. He slowly slid it across his skin. He felt like he deserved this pain. He deserved death for what he did to them.

Another bang sounded, shaking Levi from his memory. He took a deep breath, slipping his pants and a black tee shirt on before going to investigate the annoying ruckus.

Levi forcefully opened the front door, ready to verbally abuse whoever was making such a racket so early in the morning.

"What the fu-"

"HI!!!!! Youmustliveherewellduhyoujustwalkedoutthefrontdoor NICE TO MEET YOU I'm Hanji Zoe, your new neighbor!" The girl rambled and violently extended her hand with a massive grin.

Levi didn't move nor did he look impressed. He lifted his fingers to the bridge of his nose and sighed. "Levi." He responded dryly. Hanji put her hound down, not dejected in the slightest and still grinning like a psychopath. "It's 6am." He stated coldly.

"Oh I'm so sorry, did we wake you? I have so much stuff..." The girl named Hanji began to ramble again.

Levi tuned her out, but kept his eyes on her. Cute he thought.

"...new job-" Hanji stopped abruptly when she realized she was ranting in front of the very attractive man. Her cheeks flushed, "Welp, better keep moving my stuff." She laughed awkwardly, "I'll make sure to keep the noise down this time." She added as she picked up a box, her glasses falling down the bridge of her curved nose.

Levi lingered in the hallway a little longer after he watched her disappear into the neighboring door. He turned on his heel and went back inside, thinking about how he was going to have an annoyingly loud neighbor now.
