The end of the work day was nearing and Hanji was nowhere close to being finished with her research. I'm gonna have to stay late she realized as she glanced at the clock. It was almost five. She didn't mind working extra hours, especially when she was completely engulfed in her readings.
Her door clicked open and Levi appeared. Hanji's eyes brightened as she smiled at him. "Hey, Short Stuff!"
Levi's frown remained on his face, but his eyes softened when he saw her. Hanji noticed a few people standing behind him. She looked at Levi curiously.
"I'm going out with some guys-" Cheering could be heard from behind him. Levi glared at them for interrupting and they quieted down. Levi rolled his eyes and his frown lightened. Hanji could tell he was happy. "We're going out tonight so I thought I'd tell you I won't be back till later." He said almost shyly. Hanji was glad the men were taking him out. Everyone knew this week was going to be hard, so they were probably trying to distract him. Hanji was grateful.
"How considerate of you to tell me." Hanji teased, "I think I'm going to stay here-" She glanced at the papers that were scattered around her desk. "Got lots of work to do."
Levi nodded in response. "Don't overwork yourself, Four-eyes."
Hanji nodded and smiled cheekily as she stood up. She wrapped Levi in a hug. "Be safe and have fun." She said into his ear. Cheers erupted from the guys again as they grabbed Levi by the shoulder.
"Let's go!" They chanted as they quite literally pushed Levi down the hall.
"Take care of him!" Hanji yelled at the boys with a laugh.
She shook her head as she sat back in her chair. She noticed Erwin and Mike in the group of men. Hanji trusted them so she wasn't worried about Levi.
"Oh! Moblit you scared me!" She held a hand to her heart when she noticed Moblit at her door.
He smiled shyly, "I'm sorry." Hanji waved him off. Moblit chuckled, "Are you working late?"
Hanji nodded. "I'm in the middle of some research, it'd bother me if I just left it unfinished."
Moblit nodded in understanding. "Mind if I keep you company? I have some things I could finish as well." His cheeks turned a light shade of pink as the thought of him being alone with Hanji crossed his mind.
"Sure thing!"

"Drink! Drink! Drink!" The group of soldier cheered as they all made their way to the bar. "We're getting the Captain drunk tonight!" Mike shouted as he patted Levi's shoulder.
Levi rolled his eyes, "You know I can't get drunk."
A fire lit in Mikes eyes. "Is that a challenge?"
Levi smirked at Mike, "I guess it is." He said matching Mike's challenge.
Erwin ordered the first round for everyone. They all held up their glasses. "How many drinks will it take to get Levi drunk?" Mike questioned. "Let's make a bet."
Money started to be passed around as soldiers were betting on the number of drinks it would take.
Mike held his drink in the air. "Drink number one!" He yelled as the soldiers cheered and held their glasses up. Levi reluctantly held his up for the theatrics. Everyone shouted and drank their glass. Levi tched at the noise, but a smile crept onto his face as he swallowed his drink.
~ Two hours later ~
Everyone around Levi was completely wasted. Erwin decided not to drink that much so he could make sure his men were safe and taken care of. He also enjoyed watching the bet play out. Some men were passed out, some were singing and dancing. Levi looked tipsy, but not wasted...yet. Erwin was quite impressed. He knew Levi could hold his liquor, but he had drank so much that all the other men would be hospitalized if they drank as much as he did.
