Levi's squad was outnumbered. The enemy that called themselves the Titans were overpowering his men.

"Levi!" Petra yelled panicked. Gunshots could be heard near by. The ground shook. "What do we do?!"

Levi had to remain calm, for them. "Trust the Commander's orders!" He called back. He trusted Erwin. "Stay in formation!"

They ran through the maze of hallways in the Titan's base.

Everything was blurred. Levi felt numb. Why couldn't he hear? He looked around from his place on the floor. Fire and concrete was scattered around him. His head hurt. He heard distant voices yelling and more gunshots. His hearing was slowly returning. He coughed from the dust and the dizziness. His vision began to clear.

Petra was shaking him. "Get up, Levi! We have to move!" Levi was pulled to his feet. He looked back at the wreckage. He saw Gunther's body, or what was left of it. He blinked.

"Levi!"

He felt like he was drowning. The distant sounds of explosions and Petra's voice were muddied as if he was underwater.

"Levi!" He felt himself be shaken by the shoulders again. This time the voice was more clear. It didn't sound like Petra.

"Levi, wake up!"

Levi shot up in a panic. He frantically looked around. "Where's Gunther?" Levi panted. He felt like he couldn't breathe. They were right there.

"Levi, Levi calm down." Hanji's voice shook. "You're in your apartment." Levi still looked dazed and confused. Sweat covered his trembling body.

"Petra." He whispered. His heart felt like it was being squeezed.

Who's Petra? Hanji wondered.

"Shh" Hanji lulled, "You were having a nightmare." She tried to explain.

Levi took a deep breath through his nose and let it out through his mouth. He hated how real everything seemed. He swore he was back in that hell again. He could smell the smoke, hear the shots, and even feel the impact of the grenades. It was real. It wasn't a nightmare, it was a memory. One he had to relive over and over again.

"What time is it?" He asked, voice barely above a whisper. Hanji reached over and grabbed her phone. She clicked on the screen.

"Four fifteen."

Levi hummed. He knew he wouldn't be able to go back to sleep, he didn't want to go back to sleep. He slowly moved the covers off of his legs and stood up, putting a hoodie over his bare chest. His body was sweating, but he felt cold. Hanji watched him with worry.

"I'm gonna go make some tea." He added before he walked out of the room, closing the door behind him. Hanji ran her hand through her messy hair. She hadn't ever witnessed something like that before. It scared her.

Hanji was reluctantly pulled from her slumber by a particularly strong twitch from Levi. She smiled and turned over to look at him. Her smile faded when she realized he was sweating. His brows furrowed and he made a pained expression. He twitched again. He must be dreaming... Levi's head began to thrash from side to side. It was like he was trying to escape from his own mind. He was panting and struggling yet his eyes remained tightly closed. Hanji thought she should wake him up before he hurt himself.

"Levi." She tried shaking him. He continued his fit.

"Levi!" She yelled a little louder. She shook him harder. Why wouldn't he wake up?

"Levi, wake up!"

Hanji got up to go make sure he was okay. She found him in the kitchen heating up water.
