Chapter 7: Alcohol and Anxiety

"Mikasa!" Hanji cried.

"What is it?!" Mikasa came running to Hanji's room.

The two friends hung out the rest of the afternoon and were now trying to get ready for the night out. Mikasa walked in to Hanji sitting in a pile of clothes.

Mikasa laughed, "What happened here?"

"I don't know what to weeaaaaar." Hanji pouted. Dressing up and wearing makeup just wasn't something she was good at.

Mikasa smiled at her friend. "You just need to find something more your style!" Mikasa looked through some of the dresses before her eyes landed on one. "Try this on."

Mikasa's eyes lit up as she saw her friend walk out of the bathroom. She smiled at how beautiful Hanji looked. "It's perfect."

Levi got pulled into the car with Eren, Erwin, Connie, Sasha, Christa, Jean, and Armin. It was a cramped and loud ride but they ended up at the bar in one piece. Levi and Erwin went straight to the bar stools while the others mingled.

"I wonder where Hanji and her friend is?" Eren wondered aloud as he hung his arm around Sasha's shoulder.

She laughed at him. "They should be here..." Sasha looked around the bar before her eyes landed on the two girls. "There they are!" She cheered pointing at them.

Eren's jaw dropped. The girl Sasha was pointing to had beautiful raven hair and was wearing a tight black dress.

"Eren?" Sasha questioned.

Eren shook his head, "That's Hanji's roommate?" He asked, not taking his eyes off of her.

Sasha chuckled at the love struck boy. She gave him a little push, "Go talk to her! I think Hanji said she's single!"

"How do you walk in these things?!" Hanji pouted as she gripped on to Mikasa's arm.

Mikasa chuckled, "Oh please Hanji, those heels are only two inches."

"H-hi"

Mikasa turned to see a tall man. He had longer hair that was pulled into a bun with beautiful green eyes. She recognized him from Hanji's pictures.

"Hi." She smiled.

"I-I'm Eren, Eren Jaeger."

"I'm-"

"Beautiful." Eren said completely starry eyed.

"Woooaaah okay, okay I'm gonna leave you two alone..." Hanji laughed and gave Mikasa a wink and a thumbs up before heading toward the bar.

She stopped before she reached it as she noticed who sat there. The raven hair, the perfect side profile, it was definitely Levi. Thinking that it might be a little awkward Hanji decided to try and sneak away. That was until she made direct eye contact with those grey eyes.

Levi eyed her up and down. She looked beautiful, with that olive green slip dress and heels he could hardly recognize her. She seemed somewhat hesitant but she made her way over to Levi and Erwin. Levi may be avoiding her, but she wasn't gonna let that stop her from talking to him.

"Shots?" She asked.

Erwin chuckled and asked the bar tender for three. Levi hesitated. It took a lot more than a couple of shots to get him drunk, but he knew that as soon as the alcohol started to take hold he would see them and he just wanted to forget them for a while. He didn't want to seem rude so he took the shot with the other two.

A few hours and a couple of drinks later, Hanji started to notice a shift in Levi's persona. Levi shifted in his chair. They're not there, they're not there he kept telling himself.
