Ch Two {PJO x OC} [Greek in italics]
Thousands of years have passed since then and soon was seemingly forgotten. The fox was named eventually after the age of the gods past. A polish astronomer Johannes Hevelius named the fox, Vulpecula.
He became somewhat known before he was eclipsed by others such as Orion, Ursa Major, Ursa Minor, The Zodiacs, and many others. Soon, Vulpecula was separated from the goose. And soon after the goose was dropped from the sky.
The fox was alone, the Little Fox was alone in the sky. Vulpecula watched the humans and envied them. He watched as there were places, he had never seen. He watched as the humans lit the sky with fires and releasing flying lights.
He saw food he had never seen. He was sad and wished to whoever placed him in the stars to please allow him to down from the sky or at least have someone to accompany him.
The years past and the fox continued. One day, the Crooked one stirred and there was a battle. On the Moutain of Despair, the sky was exchanged.
First the Titan Atlas, Second the Son of Hermes, Luke Castellan. Next was the Daughter of Athena, Annabeth Chase until it was passed to the Goddess of the Hunt, Artemis. Until it was given to the Son of Poseidon, Percy Jackson so that the goddess could battle the Titan Atlas.
When the son of Poseidon took the sky, his grip on the sky was where Vulpecula was placed. When the demigod was relieved of the burden of the sky, Vulpecula's wish came true. Vulpecula was knocked out of the sky.
Asteria the goddess of Falling stars gave a gift to the fallen constellation. The falling star soon crashed in the forest near Camp Half-Blood. Vulpecula was the same fox he had but a shining light glowed around him and a small boy with fox features was in his place.
Vulpecula studied his new form. He crawled over to a frozen puddle and looked at the reflection before him.
He had the same yellow eyes, but he now was a twelve-year-old boy. The hair on his head matched his fur in color. It was auburn red; the texture was soft and thick. His skin was olive and without blemishes.
Vulpecula wasn't all human, he had two fox ears placed on top of his head in place of human ears. He had his bushy, fluffy tail that had a white tip on the end.
Vulpecula's keen nose soon smelt humans, and knowing humans there would be food. Vulpecula took cautious steps, learning to navigate his new human form.
After a few stumbles that left the white chiton, he wore slightly dirty. He made his way past the barrier and went his way to the kitchen and had his way with ingredients. Unfortunately, he was soon found and brought to the Big House.
The centaur studied the boy in front of him. He tried to think of why the boy had fox features. Was the boy cursed? The trainer thought before he asked a satyr to get the questers who had returned from the party.
When the demigods arrived and filed in the Big House, hoping the centaur didn't know about Nico.
"What's wrong sir?" Grover asked the activities director.
"I was hoping you would have an idea of this?" Chiron said as he moved to reveal the fallen constellation.
Annabeth, Grover and Percy stared in shock at the boy. "Are those fox ears?" Percy asked.
Vulpecula's ears perked at Percy's voice and when his yellow eyes met Percy's sea green ones, he zoomed across the room and tackled the child of the sea to the ground. "My hero!" Vulpecula shouted in Greek.
Percy groaned at the impact before registering what he said. "Me? Hero?" he wheezed out.
Percy had just been told by Nico that the younger wished he was dead, but now he had another kid calling him his hero? Percy did make a commitment that the prophecy was about him which meant he would probably die.
The boy in front of him or more specifically on top of him called him "My Hero", but as far as he knew. He had never met the fox eared boy.
"Do I know you?" He asked the boy on top of him, not realizing he had switched to Greek. Vulpecula tilted his head at the demigod he was straddling. "Yeah, you knocked me out of the sky."
A/N: Author has uploaded! Vulpecula is an actual constellation. I took a lot of time to research the stars and made sure no one else did this constellation before. And as far as my notes say, the goose was actually later spilt from the fox. As well as early illustration of the constellation usually having the goose in the fox's mouth or somewhere close by before it was dropped.
