[Chapter Two]

_Percy play pinochle with a centaur_

Galen told Chiron that he had a feeling something  was going to go wrong. The centaur said that it was just nerves.

So, when Percy showed up, dragging an unconscious, moaning Grover. While on the brink  of passing out from fighting the Minotaur.

Galen had a 'I told you so' moment before helping bring the boy inside. When the boy passed out from exhaustion, Galen sought to it that Percy was moved to the infirmary for care.

Grover was moved to be with the satyrs. When he woke up, he told Galen everything.

Percy had ditched Grover  when they got off the greyhound, leaving Grover panicked and trying to find him.

Eventually, Grover found Percy at a summer cabin in Montauk, where they proceeded to make their way to Camp Half-Blood with the supervision of Percy's mother, Sally.

That was when they ran into the Minotaur. Sally was crushed by the Minotaur and left Percy to fight the monster that killed his mother.

The satyr was extremely guilty. It was even harder , since even though the satyr completed the mission by retrieving Percy and bringing him to camp.

A mortal life was lost in the process.

It was up to the Council to decide what would happen next.

What was Galen doing now?

Well, his furry butt was plopped on Percy's chest. He was in a loaf of bread shape, allowing him to know the boy's heart was still beating.

It was comforting to Galen that his bread form was slowly rising and falling as Percy breathed.

"You know you don't have to do that, Galen." Lee from Apollo Cabin said, as he watched the cat stare at his patient's drooling face.

Galen ignored the son of Apollo and the hundred eye giant that sat in the corner.

Galen had stationed himself on the boy due to a certain child of Athena, Annabeth Chase.

She was tasked to be the boy's primary nurse. This however, meant that she was suppose to take care of him, not interrogate him.

Galen had found the wisdom goddess's daughter interrogating the poor delirious boy, while he was  barely conscious.

When Galen caught her, she shoved a spoon of ambrosia down the boy's throat and tried to play it off.

Galen scolded her harshly and stationed himself on the boy to make sure the girl would heal him and only heal him.

This action caused an annoyed glare to come from the daughter of wisdom, but Galen had seen far worse and was un-phased by the child's glare.

So, now, Galen laid on Percy's chest, purring in rhythm of the boy's health. Then he felt the boy move.

Galen opened his eyes and looked at the boy's face. He saw the familiar sea green eyes pry open.

Galen let out a soft meow, testing to see if the boy would stay awake or fall unconscious again.

"Galen?" Percy croaked.
