Ch1 First Meet {Luke Castellan x Female Oc}
Julia Oakley lived a somewhat normal life in the small town she lived in. She could see things that others couldn't. People with purple shirts with gold weapons, men with horns, snake like women and goat men. Suffice to say no one believed her during childhood. Eventually she stopped saying anything to avoid being sent to the asylum or a mental hospital.
However, that didn't stop her from seeing it, so she decided to do something about it. She learned everything, from the languages to symbols to all different Tellings. She put the pieces together and started becoming a carer to those who needed it. She became an unofficial guardian angel. She didn't see many of the people in purple often but a few times enough to recognize with the bright purple they wore.
When the weapon wielding demigods were cornered, she would shout after them and pretend to be a friend of them. If the monster tried to threaten her or try manipulating her into leaving, she would dodge their attempts and trick the monster into confusion. Allowing the demigods to escape while she misdirected the monster somewhere else.
She befriended nymphs and satyrs/fauns and healed them when they were ill or injured. She got along with them due to her love of nature, kindness, and generosity. At sixteen she began working at her mother's flower shop full-time.
That was her life. A clear-sighted mortal with a major green thumb and a student. In the mortals' eyes, she was friendly but alone. To non-mortals she was the carer at the flower shop who cared and gave hospitality to those who needed it.
She gained a routine, went to school, work at the shop, close the shop, work on any unfinished schoolwork and chat with some of her mystical guests. Then when sleep claimed her, she would wake up and repeat. However, a certain demigod broke that routine, and it was something she didn't mind.
She was seventeen at the time. She had closed the shop and was sitting on a stool finishing a large project on the desk. She had just finished then she saw something that caught her eye. Across the street beyond her window, she was a figure limping. She abandoned the project and grabbed her keys.
She switched through the keys until she found the veridian key that unlocked the door, and she jabbed it in the lock, giving a sharp turn. 'Click' the lock turned, signaling the door was now unlocked. She rushed out the door to help the clearly injured person.
When she got closer to the person, she noticed the abnormalities. He didn't have any monster like features, no claws, scales, wings, horns, or anything inhuman so that meant he wasn't a monster or mythical creature.
The person looks to be her age around seventeen. He had sandy blonde hair, his body was lean and muscular, he was also bleeding. She saw that his blood was red, so he wasn't a god not that she met one, but she did know from her research they bleed gold inchor.
She believed he was a demigod though it was hard to say because the demigods she met had purple shirts and spoke Latin a few times. The boy in front of her had a bright orange shirt and a sword that looked bronze instead of gold like she was used to see.
The boy soon fell face first into the ground and didn't get up but was clearly still alive since the boy groaned in pain and let out tired exhausted pants. Juli grouched near him and began lifting him up, she maneuvered his body onto her back.
The boy was lighter than the satyrs and fauns she carried to safety so that wasn't any problems. She reached the shop and quickly carried him into the spare room that was hidden and was dubbed the healing room by her mystical guests.
She gently layed the boy on the bed and immediately began to work. She took off her shirt since unnamed boy bled over her back, she tossed the bloody sweater in the hamper and grabbed the small closet next to her. She went over to the boy and took off his bloody shirt revealing the bloody wound she would need to heal.
She hoped that no one, more specifically her mythical guests, would walk in the room. There would be a misunderstanding since she was now in a light blue sports bra and shorts while the boy on the bed was also without a short. Knowing them they wouldn't even process the obvious sight of blood. She shook her head at the thought.
She grabbed the light tan cloth that was on the stand beside the bed and soaked it in the bowl of water that was gift from a water naiad. She cleaned the boy's chest and face, allowing her to see more of the wounds. The boy had claw marks littered across his chest, as well as many scratches and scraps like he had been rolling around rocks. Blood, dirt and grime soaked the cloth, she reached to grab a clean one and worked on his face. His face had the worst wound.
There was one deep cut on the left side of his face that went from the bottom of his eye to his chin. That would defiantly leave the biggest scar. She cleaned and stitched the rest of wounds and bandaged the rest, with the amount of damage he had he looked like a stereotypical mummy.
Eventually she decided to take a risk and gave him ambrosia and nectar. She hoped that he wouldn't spontaneously combust or start burning to ash like she had been told would happen if they weren't a demigod. To her relief he didn't and began healing, his face seemed to relax.
After she was done with taking care of him, she decided to clean. She washed her shirt before washing his shirt. After many scrubs and magic vials, which was another gift, she managed to get the bright orange shirt looking somewhat new. When she let the shirt dry, she got changed into fresh clothes and prepped her sewing kit. When the shirt was dried, she sewed and repaired the shirt to the best of her ability.
She did have a small dilemma to do the same process she did to the jeans he was wearing. They weren't as bad as his shirt, but the jeans had a few patches of blood and dirt. So, she decided against it, and would do it after he woke up. She respected boundaries so she could wait.
To make sure her patient would be okay, she plopped herself onto the chair across the room in the corner and started to note her supplies. She had taken care of many mythical creatures since she was thirteen but began treating more severe wounds when she was fifteen. She had taken summer school classes on nursing and first aid, so she knew some necessities she needed to care for a human or in her patient case half human.
She did not however, have everything she needed. She didn't ever get a demigod in her home, she helped them escape monsters, but they never took shelter at her home as they normally had a time limit. She soon finished the list and got out of the plushy chair.
To say she moved stuff around was an understatement. She unhooked the boy's sword and left the room to hide it in a secret compartment. She also took his pouch of drachmas and hid them separately. She was aware that demigod weapons can't hurt her, and they would pass through her, but she did know from experience that demigods are very jumpy, and she needed some kind of leverage to keep him from up and leaving when he was still healing.
She will admit when she found the drachmas it solidified her belief that the boy in front of her was a Greek demigod. She hadn't met a Greek demigod and there was defiantly a difference between the romans.
She grabbed the clay bead necklace and cleaned the grime off of it. There was a couple of beads on the leather thread, each bead had a different color and different design. She glanced at the boy on the bed, more specifically his arm. There wasn't anything but scars instead of tattoos like she had seen on the romans. "I wonder where you're from, demigod."
