[Male Oc x Lightning Theif(PJO)]
[Chapter Two]
_Percy sees three old ladies and they knit socks_
Galen really did feel bad for Percy. He was against the strategy but couldn't do anything more than follow along.
Galen watched Percy struggle throughout the whole year. The mortals thought Percy had gone mad.
He sprung a bunch of Mrs. Dodds references but only got a stare of concern and worry in responses.
Galen had to listen to the mortal children talk about Percy needing a psychic evaluation. The Mist worked well, but not on Percy.
To Percy, the entire campus was playing a trick on him. Everyone was convinced that a perky blonde woman who Percy has never seen before was the Pre-Algebra teacher since Christmas.
He was close to believing Mrs. Dodds truly didn't exist and never had. Almost.
Grover couldn't fool Percy. Every time Percy said anything about Mrs. Dodds, Grover would hesitate, then claim she didn't exist.
He was obviously lying.
Percy felt like something was happening. Something really did happen at the museum.
He didn't have time to think about it during the day, but at night. Percy was haunted by nightmares of Mrs.Dodds monstrous form.
Visions of her razor talons and leather wings would wake Percy in cold sweat.
The abnormal weather continued and Percy's mood soured with it. One time a thunderstorm blew out the window of his dorm room.
A few days later, the Hudson valley touched down only fifty miles from Yancy Academy.
The weather irritated Percy to no end. He was irritated and cranky most of the time.
His grades fell from Ds to Fs. He got into more fights with Nancy Bobofit and her friends.
One time his English teacher had asked why he was to lazy to study. Percy snapped and called him an old sot.
He didn't know what that meant, but it sounded good to him.
Overall, he wasn't returning to Yancy Academy next year. Fine, he told himself.
He was homesick anyway. He didn't care that he would have to deal with his obnoxious step father and his stupid poker parties.
He would still miss Yancy. He would miss Grover, who was a good friend albeit a little strange. He would miss the comforting feeling Galen provided.
The feline seemed to magically change his raging stormy emotions to a calm and peaceful river.
He would miss Mr. Brunner's Latin class tournament days. As the final exams grew closer, Percy studied for Latin class and only Latin class.
Percy's memory of Mr. Brunner's feeling him the subject being life and death stayed with him.
Percy didn't know why or how to explain it, but he started to believe him.
