Does our kiss mean nothing to her?

Whether it was a on paper marriage or ritual marriage, Tina clearly said that they don't mean anything to them as there will be no emotions involved. But last night and this morning there was an emotion in it. Last night, in between her kiss and our kiss, I confessed that I'm attracted to her.

Didn't she feel it or didn't I express it well?

My eyes watched Tina as she stopped and turned to look at me. She raised her eyebrows and gestured to follow her. I realised that I was staying rooted to my spot.

After all these years, I finally started to have feelings for a girl and it's so complicated.

I sighed heavily before joining her as she stopped in front of her house and rang the doorbell. "Maim daravaza dekhanga," I heard a matured feminine voice and Tina went up on high alert. Before the door could open, she pushed me away from the front of the door. (I'll check the door.)

I pressed my hand on the wall and balanced my footing. I looked at her shocked but she looked at the door terrified. "Tina?" I heard a confused voice that soon turned harsher. "Tusim kithe si? Tuhanu ika hafta pahilam ah jana chahida si." The lady asked her in Punjabi. (Where have you been? You should have arrived a week back.)

"Mainu kujha kama si, Mausi ji. Isliye main jaldi nahim pahuca saki." She peeped inside. "Papa ji kithe hana?" And finally her face calmed with a smile. (I had some work, that's why I couldn't arrive early. Where is Papa ji?)

"Mai ithe ham, meri puthar." I heard the voice of Tina's father. "Maim tuhada suagata karana di tiyari kara riha si. Mera javai ji kithe hai?"(I'm here, my daughter.) (I was preparing to welcome you all. Where is my son-in-law?)

"Javai ji? Balwinder tuhare nala aya hai? Woh kithe hai?" Tina's step mother stepped out, looking around. "Yeh kaun hai?" She looked at me in confusion. (Balwinder has come with you? Where is he?) (Who is he?)

"Arre! Javai ji, aap uthe kium khare ho?" He gave the welcome plate to his wife and folded his hands greeting me. (Oh my! Son-in-law, why are you standing there?)

"Tina asked me to stand here." I fake smiled at her, omitting the fact that she pushed me away. "Sata sri akala, uncle ji!" I folded my hands to greet him back and touched his feet to get his blessings. (Hello, uncle!)
