It was late at night. The wind was howling amid the oak tree's dead leaves. The oak is well-known for its mystical properties. A young guy leaned on the tree's huge ancient trunk, waiting for his beloved to appear. A dimly-lit lantern hung from one of the branches and glowed softly.
A sliver of the moon peered out from the clouds, creating a menacing and frightening atmosphere. There was no one close. He was startled to hear the quiet crunch of a dry twig. The movement of the robe and the faint sound of footsteps made his pulse skip a beat. Finally, his lover has arrived.
" Oh, my love! "You're late dear!" he exclaimed as he turned around and peered into her beautiful eyes. She only smiled and remained silent. He drew her into a loving embrace and kissed her scarlet lips passionately. The boy then took her hand in his and brought her to the lantern. The golden ichor tint of the females' eyes shone through in the faint light.
"Oh, my darling! What happened to your vision? You have stunning blue eyes. They appear to be gold now." the Girl grinned and drew her lips out. She pulled out a set of deadly fangs and sank them deep inside the boy's neck. The boy struggled and tried to release himself. But the girl was more powerful. When the lantern dropped off the branch, everything went dark.
Later, after midnight, a little girl ran from the village beyond the woodland. "Oh, my darling! Have you arrived yet? I apologize for the delay. "Where have you gone?" She yelled.
Her foot unexpectedly stepped on something. She pulled out a candle and ignited it. To her surprise, she discovered her dead lover laying on a bed of grass, entirely drained of blood.
She understood and looked around in fear. She must inform the villagers. It has arrived again. The love of her life was murdered by a shapeshifter.
Shapeshifters, sometimes known as shifters for short, are a race of supernatural creatures that can take on the appearance of any human being. They are human-like beings that begin as humans but eventually learn how to change their appearance to seem like anyone they wish.
Shapeshifters, because they began as humans, can have human impulses and vices such as greed, lust, and so on. They are also possibly the most human-like monsters. Shapeshifters, unlike vampires and werewolves, are led by human instincts and wants and conduct their acts voluntarily.
Shapeshifters are creations of the Mother of All Monsters, Eve. When a shapeshifter assumes the form of another person, they shed their skin, teeth, and nails. When they assume the physical appearance of the person they are impersonating, they gain access to the person's thoughts.
Some shapeshifters can alter their shape in a matter of seconds, while others might take several hours. They can also take the form of fictional characters or inhuman features, such as vampire fangs or werewolf claws. They can even change their eyes to look like their retinal flare. Some shapeshifters, like their Alpha, have demonstrated the ability to easily shift into whoever they wish without shedding their skin.
Shapeshifters can cure non-fatal wounds and even replace bodily parts like ears or a large chunk of skin because they can change their form quickly. Shapeshifters have a psychic connection with the people they imitate, allowing them to "download" their victims' memories and thoughts as long as they are alive, which explains why they keep their victims alive.
Shapeshifters, despite their human appearance, have incredible physical strength. They have the ability to quickly overpower and murder humans.
While in the guise of a small child, one was able to tear a woman apart with his bare hands. Most physical injuries have little effect on shapeshifters unless they are induced by silver.
Shapeshifters appear to be able to run faster than humans, and they have successfully eluded pursuers on several occasions. A person could run faster than a gun could aim. They have faster reflexes than normal humans. One of them dodged a bullet, jumped out of a home without injuring itself, and left a bloody footprint on a telephone pole, demonstrating that Shapeshifters can climb.
A silver bullet or silver blade to the heart can kill them. Silver injuries are excruciatingly painful for them, but contact with a silver object can burn a shapeshifter and can be used to identify one. They can be recognized by a retinal flare that appears while they are being videotaped or when light rays pass through their eyes.
Iridium is a metal that can injure shapeshifters, as Crowley learned during his search for a way to harm the Alpha Shapeshifter.
Vamptonite is a machine that, in addition to vampires and ghouls, is designed to kill shapeshifters. Decapitation can kill the Alpha, thus it's safe to assume that decapitating a shifter will do the same. – Shapeshifters can be murdered by ripping out their hearts.
Certain animals, such as dogs, can detect Shapeshifters in any form they adopt, similar to how they can detect supernatural happenings. The presence of one, converted one dog from friendly to nasty, while the presence of the Alpha Shapeshifter led numerous dogs to howl. This does not appear to be the case for all shapeshifters, since some have been sighted among dogs and have stayed completely peaceful.
They might be anywhere. A shifter could be the person you're meeting, the milkman who delivers milk, or the flower girl next door. So,beware and be safe!!
