"Rise and shine!" Chan's voice bellowed from above me.

I was so not about to rise or shine. I turned to the other side, so that I could keep on sleeping.

He was having none of it. I heard him pull the curtains aside and the whole room lit up. I groaned and buried myself deeper underneath the warm blanket. He'd have to drag me out of bed. The thought of that made me smile.

I could almost hear the cogwheels turning inside his head as he tried to figure out the best way to get me out of bed. I was kind of hoping that he would fail this task, because that meant that there was a chance, he could join me in bed. I would love some cuddles.

The silence was broken when Chan began to sing:

"You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and Vixen

Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen

But do you recall

The most famous reindeer of all?"

He was really going all in with this performance, but when he failed to get a reaction out of me, he started to play foul.

"Do you not like my singing?" He faked some sniffling, and I could tell without looking that he was all pouty.

I loved his singing, and he was very much aware of that. I gave up on staying in this warm and cozy bed.

"Of course I love your singing!" I exclaimed as I threw the blanket away.

Chan was standing next to the bed with a pair of reindeer antlers on his head and a red clown nose on. He was grinning widely.

I burst into laughter.

"You thought I was about to call Rudolph the best reindeer, didn't you?" His voice was teasing.

I was laughing so hard I could barely breathe, which obviously made speaking impossible. I nodded vigorously while wiping the tears out of the corners of my eyes.

"You were so wrong about that!" Chan said triumphantly. "Sure, poor old Rudolph put a good fight in the battle for the title of being the best reindeer, but he was bound to lose against me."

He flexed his muscles and soon couldn't hold back his laughter either. He jumped into bed with me and tried to give me a kiss, but the damn red nose was in the way.

Chan let out an exasperated sigh and took the nose off. "Fine Rudolph can keep the best red nosed- reindeer title, because being able to kiss you is more important to me."

I thought about that for a bit.

"Geez thanks for considering me more important than being a good reindeer." I said sarcastically.

He shook his head. "Not only good, but the best!"

Chan looked me in the eyes as he spoke. During his next sentence he placed tiny kisses on various parts of my face. One gentle kiss after every word.

"Nothing" *kiss* "less" *kiss* "than" *kiss* "the" *kiss* "best" *kiss* "is" *kiss* "good" *kiss* "enough" *kiss*"for" *kiss*"me."

He stopped with his lips almost touching mine. Hovering right above mine, driving me crazy.

A playful smile made the corners of his mouth curl up.

"That's why you're my girlfriend. I only wanted the best of the best."

With that he lowered lips onto mine and I wrapped my hands around his shoulders, pulling him closer.

I tried running my hands through his soft hair, but something was in the way. The antlers.

I pulled back from the kiss and looked at him with a serious expression.

"Chan, I love you, but the antlers have to go."

"But babe," he complained, "it's the first day of December."

"Channie, I can't believe you're able to make a pair of antlers look good on you, but they are interfering with me playing with your hair."

"Ooh what a serious offense that is." He rolled his eyes. "Okay then, I can take them off now, but just so you know I bought you a matching pair of antlers. If I agree to take them off now, you have to agree to wear your antlers for the rest of the day."

I was desperate for more cuddles and kisses, so I agreed to his demands immediately.

Later that day we met the rest of the group, while both rocking a set of antlers.

Felix looked at me like he was about to ask or comment on something, but I stopped him.

"Don't even ask."

My expression must've been completely defeated because everyone started laughing. Chan looked at me, beaming with pride. If he kept on looking at me like that, I guess I could handle anything. Even the antlers.
