"It's finally Christmas!" I could barely contain my excitement.

I loved Christmas. Everything about it was great; the food, the music, the atmosphere, and getting to spend time with your loved ones.

My loved one appeared in the doorway of the kitchen with a box of chocolates in his hands. Chan extended the box towards me.

"Would you like some?"

I'd already grabbed one before I had the time to respond "yes".

The delicious chocolate shell contained a nougat filling.

I grabbed my boyfriend by the waist and pulled him in for a thank you kiss. He tasted like strawberries and cream.

I pulled back from the kiss and watched him with narrowed eyes. My eyes ventured to the box of chocolates and scanned which slots were empty. Three in total, and only one had been eaten by me.

He smiled sheepishly. "Yeah, I may or may not have eaten both strawberry and cream ones."

I chuckled. "So, that's why you tasted so yummy."

He got all flustered. My gosh was he adorable.

Chan stepped even closer to me and buried his face in the crook of my neck. His warm breath on my skin made me shiver.

We stayed like that, completely still, for a few minutes. My pulse was quick, and I was certain he could hear the blood pulsing in my veins. My breathing was shallow.

Chan moved the tiniest bit. His lips came in contact with my neck.

He placed a row of gentle kisses on my skin. So gentle, it almost felt as if a butterfly had landed on me.

Suddenly I began feeling lightheaded. I took an unsteady step to the side and luckily Chan managed to catch me before I fell.

"Are you okay?" He sounded very worried.

I nodded slowly. "I think I may have forgotten to breathe." I mumbled. My cheeks felt hot.

His hands were on my shoulders as he sought my eyes with his. "Did... did I make you forget to breathe?"

I stared at my toes, refusing to meet his gaze. I shrugged, hoping this would suffice as an answer.

"I wanna show you something!" He said and grabbed my arm.

He guided me into the living room, where we stopped in front of the fireplace. There were a bunch of Christmas decorations in the room, but nothing out of the ordinary.

"What did you want to show me?" I asked.

The corners of his mouth lifted as he pointed at something above my head. I looked up, and to my delight I noticed a mistletoe hanging from the ceiling.

"A mistletoe," my voice was barely a whisper.

"Yes, and this time I'm hoping you remember to breathe."

Chan bent down, cupped my face in between his hands and kissed me deeply.

I forgot about everything; except for how much I loved this and him, and how to breathe.
