Day 21: staying in bed with Minho

It was a lovely winter morning.

Well, not really. But it was winter and morning, which was close enough in my opinion.

It was snowing, again. I was certain the whole house would soon be fully buried under the snow. A strong wind was howling, which is probably what woke me up.

The red and white candycane-like curtains were drawn to the sides, so I could see outside without having to leave the bed. I watched the fluffy snowflakes fall to the ground.

I heard tiny paws on the floor. One of Minho's cats had appeared, and it was walking somewhere near the foot of bed.

"Come here my love," I whispered and scratched the blanket with my nails. I was hoping the kitty would be in a good and cuddly mood.

"I'm already here," my boyfriend, who had prior to this comment been soundly asleep, said and scared the crap out of me. He was laying on his back buried underneath the thick blanket, which left only his face visible.

His dark eyes were focused on me, and he had a tiny smile on his lips. "Are you trying to rizz up my cat?"

I blushed. "Well, um that's not exactly the word I would use, but I would've loved for the kitty to keep me company."

"I can keep you company," he countered smugly.

I grinned at him. "Yes, but I would've liked to pet a purring kitty."

He opened his mouth to speak, but I placed my finger on his lips to silence him.

"Don't you dare to say that I can pet you and make you purr!"

Minho lifted one hand to his face, pretending to lick it like a cat. He stared at me and let out a loud "meow".

We both burst out laughing at the same time. I covered my face with my hands and mumbled "you're impossible."

I felt him shift in the bed. His hands grabbed mine and gently pulled them away from my face.

"What are you doing?" he whispered. I could feel his warm breath on my face.

I kept my eyes shut as I replied. "I'm hiding."

"Hiding from what?"

"Your stupidity." I panned as I opened my eyes.

His dumbfounded expression sent me straight into another laughing fit.

"And some people call me mean and cold." He mumbled, but I could tell by the look in his eyes that he was amused. Minho had expressive eyes.

Some say the eyes are the windows to one's soul. If that's true, Minho has a gorgeous soul.

His pupils widened. My heartbeat quickened as I held his gaze. It was like millions of tiny electric shocks were given to different parts of my body.

His soft lips parted slightly, and it was quiet enough for me to hear him breathing. I wondered if he could hear my heart, which was pounding as if it was trying to escape my chest.

After a long silence, he finally spoke.

"Did we have any plans for today?" His voice sounded hoarse.

I managed to shake my head.

He nodded approvingly. "Good, because I'm not planning on leaving this bed anytime soon."

After that he kissed me.
