"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas..."

My boyfriend's voice was angelic.

Memories from the first time he'd sang for me, and only me, flooded my brain.

We'd been dating for twoish weeks at that point. It was the first time I'd been over at his place and he'd made us dinner. Something, I can't quite remember what, had prompted him to start singing.

I could distinctly remember my jaw falling onto the floor as I heard his voice. There was no backup music, or anyone else's voice to support him, but it was the most beautiful sound I'd ever heard. I didn't know people could sing like that.

I came to the conclusion that he was an absolutely underrated singer.

The same feelings of awe and proudness filled me once again. This time, however, I could simply walk up to him, press my lips against his and tell him that I loved his voice.

What warmed up my heart the most was his expression when I complimented his voice. His eyes widened, and I had the privilege of witnessing the feeling of happiness reach every nook and cranny of his heart. His lips curved into a smile, and soon he could no longer hold my gaze, but instead looked at his toes in embarrassment. I don't think people compliment him often enough.

I could tell he was getting a bit uncomfortable, so I suggested a new fun activity.

"Since it's snowing, and the snowflakes seem to be of a decent size, we should go outdoors and try to catch them with our tongues!"

My boyfriend seemed thankful for the change of topic.

"Yes please." He said and grabbed my hand.

He guided me to the hallway and helped me put on a warm coat. After both of us were dressed in warm clothes, he gave me a quick kiss on my forehead. Tiny butterflies flew wildly inside my stomach. I loved this feeling.

"They're massive!" I exclaimed once we both stood ankle deep in the snow.

My boyfriend smiled at me. "That means it should be easy to catch them!"

I stood still, while I watched his attempts at catching them with his tongue. He ran back and forth (not very graciously, I might add) with his tongue fully extended.

After many fruitless efforts, he finally caught a big one.

"Did you see that?"

I nodded. He was like a little kid. Completely free of all stressors for once.

"Great job." I acknowledged his efforts.

My voice may have sounded a tad sarcastic, since in an instant he ran up to me and tackled me into the snow.

I shrieked as I fell down, dragging him down with me. Judging by his expression, he hadn't expected me to react by grabbing his arm and yanking him to the ground with me.

He looked absolutely dumbfounded, which made me burst out in laughter. After he got over the initial shock, he joined me in the laughter.

We laid in the snow, cuddling and laughing madly, for I don't know how long. The snow was cold, but I felt completely warm inside.
