I woke up next to my boyfriend Hyunjin.

There truly wasn't a cozier place to wake up in than right next to this him on a chilly December morning. I looked outside through the window. Big fluffy snowflakes were lazily falling.

I turned my head away from the window and towards my boyfriend. I'd been lucky enough to wake up next to him many times, but I still adored these moments. He was peacefully asleep with messy hair and the tiniest of smiles on his lips.

The sight of him being relaxed made me incredibly happy. His busy schedule made moments like these too rare.

I should do something nice for him, I thought to myself.

I slowly wiggled myself free from the blanket and stood up quietly as I could. Hyunjin tossed in his sleep and mumbled something unintelligible. He moved his hand around my side of the bed, clearly searching for something.

I took his hand in mine, which immediately made him calm down. I didn't want to wake him up, so I stayed there holding his hand while drawing small circles on the back of his warm hand, until he was back in deep sleep.

Once I finally managed to sneak out of the bedroom I made my way to the kitchen, where I began cooking breakfast for us. I made two pieces of toast, chopped up some apples and prepared two glasses of hot chocolate with whipped cream on top.

On a whim I decided to rummage around the pantry in hopes of finding some sprinkles. At the far end of the shelf was a small jar filled with green and red heart-shaped sprinkles. I put those on top of the whipped cream with a smile on my face.

"Babee!" I heard Hyunjin holler from the bedroom. I absolutely adored his morning voice. It was quite low and raspy.

"I'm coming!" I responded. I gathered all the food and drinks on a tray and carried the whole thing over to Hyunjin.

"Good morning," I said and gave him a quick kiss. I carefully placed the tray on the bedside table.

"This looks amazing!" He exclaimed. "This is why I love you." The smile on his face made my heart do somersaults.

"Is this the only reason?" I teased him.

He chuckled before listing a lot of things about me which he loved. Some of the things he mentioned made me blush.

After breakfast we decided to go on a walk.

Hyunjin told me he knew a neighborhood nearby whose residents seemed to compete for the best decorated property.

"Every year they strive to outdo their decorations from the previous years and everyone else's decorations." I could tell he was extremely excited about this. Normally I wasn't a huge fan of Christmas or its decorations but loving someone meant that their passions become your passions.

We held hands as we walked over to the neighborhood. We were one block away from it when the music became audible. "Feliz Navidad" was playing loudly. The sun hadn't been visible for a few days, but today the dimness and the darkness worked to our advantage.

We turned the corner, and I was amazed.

There were bright lights everywhere. Elf's and beautifully wrapped presents of assorted sizes were in all gardens. Almost every house had a Santa sneaking around the roof. One house had a real-life sized sled with real life-sized reindeer on the roof. Both the reindeer and the sled were covered in red, green, and white bright lights that pulsed coordinated with the beat of the music. Massive Christmas trees filled to the brim with sparkly decorations occupying every yard. One of the trees was taller than the house itself.

"This is incredible," I said and turned to look at my boyfriend. I could see the different colored lights reflected in his eyes. He'd never looked more beautiful.

"I enjoy looking at beautiful things." Hyunjin said without breaking eye contact with me. My heart began to flutter.

He bent down to kiss me and used his strong arms to pull me closer. During our kiss it began snowing but I barely noticed it. I was too focused on him. Hyunjin's warmth against my body. His warm breath on my lips.

I have never been happier.
