You pressed your thumb against the biometric scanner, and with a soft beep, the door unlocked. Stepping inside, you carried your luggage, allowing the door to click shut behind you.
A profound silence filled the vast living room as you flicked on the lights. The emptiness of the space sent a chill through the air, and you couldn't help but feel the solitude.
Meanwhile, Gojo had headed to his own place following the plans he'd made with his friend. Left alone, you decided to wait for Shoko to arrive at your house.
Setting your luggage aside, you found yourself reluctant to climb the stairs, opting instead to head straight to the kitchen to prepare lunch.
As you scanned the refrigerator for ingredients, a sigh escaped your lips when you found it lacking. With a resigned shrug, you closed the fridge door and sank onto the couch.
Unlocking your phone, you navigated to a food delivery app and opted for the convenience of Chinese takeout, a tempting choice to fill the void of an empty kitchen.
While waiting for the delivery, you decided to make yourself comfortable on the couch. The soft hum of the heating system and the distant city sounds outside created a soothing ambiance.
Turning on the TV, the first thing on the news was your face. How ironic. You quickly changed the channel to Netflix, not in the mood to deal with the media circus.
The doorbell rang, signaling Shoko's arrival. Once the door opened, Shoko stood there with a soft smile, a cigarette in hand that she casually tossed aside before embracing you.
"How are you?" she asked, You returned the hug, appreciating the familiar warmth.
"Doing better," you replied, leading her to the living room. The TV still hummed softly, now playing a lighthearted sitcom on Netflix.
Soon after, you both settled at the dinner table with Chinese takeout spread out before you. As you chewed down on the flavorful dishes, Shoko took a moment to observe your expression. "You look ten times better. Did anything special happen during your trip?" she asked, a subtle smile playing on her lips as she nibbled on noodles.
"Nothing too extraordinary," you replied, taking a bite of fried rice. You shared snippets of your hometown journey, Shoko listened attentively.
"Are you hiding something from me?" she asked between bites. You raised your eyebrows, looking at her curiously.
"What do you mean?" you responded.
"Did you meet someone special?" she asked with a sly grin, causing you to choke on your food. She chuckled. "No way," you mumbled, trying to compose yourself.
"Oh come on just tell me, we've been friends for so long. your secret is basically mine" She said as you thought for a second without sighing
"I don't know, i guess we are in still talking stage" You mumbled as she smiled "Who is he? is he famous?" She asked excitedly
"He's a model" You replied simply "He's definitely tall right" She grinned
You chuckled at Shoko's enthusiasm. "Yeah, he's pretty tall. I'm not gonna tell who but he's a magazine model," you answered.
"But the thing is, it has been lingering in my mind lately that," you said as Shoko hummed in response.
"Like how people would feel about this," you continued, looking at her.
"Or you should just bring out the truth about Naoya," she answered.
"It's not as easy as you say," you said dryly.
Shoko leaned back in her chair, a thoughtful expression on her face. "Y/n, I get that it's not easy, but sometimes being upfront is the best way to go. People might surprise you with their understanding."
You sighed,. "It's just... I don't want to be the cause of unnecessary drama or judgment."
Shoko nodded. "I get it, but keeping things hidden might protect others temporarily, but in the long run, it can be emotionally draining."
"Never mind it's not like we're dating anyway" You replied casually to which Shoko just shrugged it off
The conversation shifted back to lighter topics, allowing you to enjoy the remainder of your meal without diving too deeply into the intricacies of your newfound connection with Gojo.
DELICATE
As Shoko's departure marked the end of the evening, you closed the door, creating a boundary between the outside world and the sanctuary of your home.
In the cocoon of your room, the deliberate pace continued as your shirt was methodically shed, leaving you clad only in undergarments. The warm embrace of the tub awaited, and you eased into it, the water gradually enveloping your body in a soothing dance of relaxation. Your head found a comfortable perch against the tub as you took a moment to let the day's remnants dissipate.
Post-soak, the ritual continued with a refreshing wash, followed by a towel-wrap and the donning of comfortable sleep attire. Plopping onto your king-sized bed, the plush comfort embraced you.
Reaching for your phone on the nightstand, you took a deep breath before eyeing the array of social media apps. After a brief contemplation, you clicked on each one, reactivating your accounts. The digital world quickly stirred to life as messages flooded your page, a virtual welcome echoing the anticipation that had built during your absence.
There's few of positive and negative comments as well deciding not to read any further you closed your phone behind and put it on the nightstand back and slowly close your eyes drifted yourself to sleep.
