I think I know the reason too
I mean, I appreciate intelligence maybe that is the reason, or maybe because he stood up for me
To elaborate latter reason, I would like to tell you something
I love my father, I adore him but he is a coward. I have a bitch of a grandmother who always wanted a grandson but unfortunately, I was born. My grandma degraded and harassed my mom many times but my father never stood up for her. I always wished for someone who would stand up for me maybe that is the reason.
But the conclusion is that I have the first crush of my life
I know I am a little late maybe I am just too picky I guess
But the first crush of my life was none other than my academic rival/neighbor Aiden James
and I am royally fucked................
After a few months, it was time for the first exam and soon results were announced
Aiden and I shared the first rank, ............
He topped math and physics and I topped lit and bio
and other credit scores were the same
to be honest I was happy but I knew my mom was going to be furious anyway.....
I arrived home after my shift
"Mom, I am home," I said to my mom.

"I heard you had to share the rank with Aiden"
"Yup but who told you ?"
"Aiden's mom called us over for dinner as you both shared the rank"
