Update for this week, hope everyone is well. From the last chapter's replies I've decided I won't break Wonze, but I think I'll create a little tension. Anyways hope you like this chapter.
Charlie's POV:
The past 3 days, the team had been training hard for their game today. We got up early this morning to travel to Brighton, because that's where the game was. But of course it was breakfast first. I grabbed my usual bowl of Coco pops, and a bottle of orange juice, thankfully they had been restocked. I sat down next to Keira who was looking after Ellie who was in a goofy mood, which made it a bit harder for Keira to feed her her breakfast. After breakfast we all loaded onto the bus. Rachel and Millie had asked me to sit with them at the back of the bus, so I got on the bus and started making my way down to the back, passing Mum and Keira who were sat next to each other with Ellie on Mums lap, playing with Mums glasses. I said a quick hi to them before continuing my way to the back.
While on the bus, I played a card game with Rach and Millie, and then Keets turned to me and asked me "what shirts are you and Ellie wearing today ?", "you'll have to wait and see", I replied back grinning at all the faces who had turned to see if I would answer. They all sighed at my reply.
When we arrived into the car park of the Brighton & Hove Community Stadium, I started gathering my bits and pieces that had been strewn around where I was sat during the bus journey. On my way down the aisle, of course Millie and Rach wanting to be the firsts off the bus, I stopped beside Mum and Keira, and before I was trampled by Rach and Millie I plopped on top of Mum, causing her to groan, and Rach turned around and looked over at me curiously wondering why I wasn't following. "Mini Bronze, aren't you coming ?", Rach exclaimed. I shook my head and leaned against Mum. Mum just chuckled and asked "are you sick of Rach and Millie already ?", "can I not spend some time with my own mums", I replied smiling up at her. "Of course you can, you always can", Mum replied wrapping her arms around my shoulders pulling me close. I looked over to see Ellie pointing out every car to Kei, and being in a car park there was a good bunch of them. Once the bus stopped, I watched Rach and Millie jump off the bus. I then watched the staff get off the bus and I could just hear eager fans cheering, hoping to meet the team. I looked up at Mum, when I heard the fans.
You'd think after all this time, and all the times I'd been to Mum and Keira's games, and all the England games I'd been to and gotten off the bus with them, that I would be used to seeing the fans eagerly lined up behind barriers trying to meet the team. But I still never enjoyed this part of travelling with Mum and Keira to games. All the shouting of Mum and Keira's names, asking to take pictures with them and sign their shirts made me nervous. To me they were just my mums but to everyone else they were Lucy Bronze and Keira Walsh, two very good and popular footballers. Even people shouting my name was unpleasant, they didn't know me, they only knew me through Mum and Keira.
Mum looked down at me and gave me a tight squeeze. "You stick with me, we'll be ok", Mum said, nudging me to get up so she could get up too. Once Mum had grabbed both her and Keiras bags in one hand, I grabbed her other hand. Keira got up too with Ellie in her arms, who at the moment was oblivious as to what was to come. But I knew although I didn't like what was to come, Ellie hated it, she didn't like the shouting or the calling of mum or Keira's names either. Keira was trying to keep her occupied by talking quietly to her as we walked down the aisle of the bus to get off. Keira got off first with Ellie and I watched as she covered Ellie's ears with her hands to reduce the noise, as Ellie cuddled into Keiras chest, already starting to tear up. I looked up at Mum, who gave my hand a tight squeeze, before leading us both down the stairs and into the noise.
Once we were inside the stadium and away from the fans, me and mum caught with Keira who was gently swaying Ellie in her arms. "Mum said she'd be here at about 6:30ish", Mum told me and Keira. I smiled at the thought of seeing my Nana and all my family. Ellie then piped up "Narly", mum chuckled at her and then leaned down and said "no Narla today, I'm sorry baby girl", pressing a kiss to Ellie's forehead. Ellie just looked very sad at mums reply that Narla wasn't gonna be at the game.
We eventually made it to the changing room and Mum held the door open for me and Keira to walk through. I headed over to Mums cubby, and placed my bag down underneath the seat. Mum then came over with her bag after dropping Keira's bag over to her. Mum then told me it was time to go out for the pitch inspection. I looked up at her with puppy eyes, "Mum ?", I asked. Mum looked down at me and grinned "what can I do for you ?", she replied. "Can I have a piggy back please ?", I asked. Mum chuckled and then picked me up and stood me up on her cubby, before turning around, letting me get on her back. "Yes !!!", I cheered. Mum walked us out of the changing room and up the steps to the pitch. Mum carried me around the pitch for a bit before I asked her to put me down so I could chase G. She did and then put her headphones on. I came back into the changing room and spotted Keira talking to Mum with Ellie wriggling in her arms. I went over to them and squeezed in between them. "You gonna get your jersey on ?", Keira asked me. I nodded and then told her "you have to let Ellie down so I can take her to get her jersey on too", Keira sighed and then said "do you not want some help", I chuckled and shook my head, knowing she just wanted to see who's jersey we were wearing. She let Ellie down as I grabbed my bag and then took Ellie's hand and led her out of there changing room. I quickly got Ellie into her jersey and then put a hoodie on her. I kept her entertained while I got mine on and put a hoodie on too so no one could see who I was sporting. I then took her hand and led her back into the changing room. Once she saw Kei, she let go of my hand and ran over to her. I followed but not running. Mum approached us with my bag and said "it's time to head out for warm up and for you to go see everyone", I nodded and then reached my hands up to Mum, who raised an eyebrow at me. I lifted my arms a little higher and Mum gave in, lifting me up, and settling me on her hip. Keira picked Ellie up and we made our way out of the changing room along with everyone else, except we turned when we got out of the tunnel, and Mum led us to where our families were sat. Uncle Jorge took me from Mum and lifted me over the barrier and settled me on the ground. I leaned back over to give Mum and Keira a hug. I then watched as Keira said a quick goodbye to Ellie before handing her to Mum and racing over to warm ups.
It's always been like that since Ellie's been born, because if Keira had it her way, she wouldn't leave Ellie or me. So her and Mum decided that Keira would say goodbye to us and then hand Ellie over to Mum and run over to warm ups first. Mum seemed to find a bit easier to say goodbye to me and Ellie before a game then Keira did.
I watched as Mum ran off to warm up and then I turned to my Nana who was holding Ellie and asked "so Nana, what snacks have you got ?".
