Surprise I'm off for a few days so here's an update for you all. Thank you for the patience in updates at the moment x
Lucy's POV:
Once we got downstairs with all our bags and stroller in tow, I loaded them onto the bus that would take us back to Manchester. Charlie raced over to Leah to say goodbye but also to make sure Keira didn't rat her out. Demi came up behind me, loading her bag onto the bus. "Well, we've finally got our hands on some England treasure, eh ?", Demi said as we walked back to the group. I grinned over at her and nodded "I'm thinking it's the start of many", I replied. Demi grinned and we separated to say our goodbyes to others. We'd get the chance to say our goodbyes when we reached Manchester. I turned to Beth "thank you for everything on and off the pitch Meado", I told her as I pulled her in for a hug. "It's what mates are for Bronzey", Beth replied as we pulled away. "Good luck in Barca and let me know if you guys need anything", Beth finished off before letting me go. I smiled over at her before moving on to say goodbye to Millie, who pulled me into a near bone-crushing hug. "Cheers Bronzey for the bloody brilliant summer", Millie told me as we pulled away. "You too Mills, thanks for entertaining Charlie", I replied, which Millie waved off and replied "no need to thank me for that, I love spending time with her, she's a menace but I love her anyways". I grinned at her comment about Charlie "she definitely is", I chuckled back. I chuckled as I seen Charlie trying to shush Keira who looked like she was about to tell Leah about the jersey. Ellie was giggling as Leah tickled her, while trying to figure out what Keira was trying to tell her. I came up behind Keira and wrapped my arms around her waist. Keira leaned against me and turned to face me "wanna tell Le what Charlie did ?", Keira asked me grinning. "No Mum !!", Charlie squealed, pulling on my arm to try and drag me away. Keira chuckled and then said "fine, we won't tell her". Charlie looked up at Keira uncertain if she would say anything.
As everyone started to head away back home, I stood watching it all happen. Proud was an understatement for how I felt about the team, although it was a home tournament we were still thought to be the underdogs, but we showed the world exactly who the Lionesses are. I zoned back in when I felt two little hands wrap around my legs. I looked down immediately knowing who it was. Elleã grinned up at me, lifting her hands up for me to lift her up. "Hello baby girl", I said to Elleã who wrapped her arms around my neck, Narla teddy tight in her hand, and Man City blanket in the other hand. "We'll have to get you a Barca blanket soon", I told her looking at the blanket, that she always had going to sleep, she refused to sleep with any other blanket. "Lucy, time to get on the bus, hurry up !!", Tooney yelled over to me. I chuckled and turned to Georgia who had appeared beside me. "Mummy needs to say goodbye to G, I'll pick you back up in one second Ellie", I told Elleã who seemed to understand as I let her down and she stood beside me, waiting for me to pick her back up again. "G, we'll miss ya in Manchester, but you're going to do bloody brilliant in Germany, can't wait to beat ya in the Champions League", I said to G as I pulled her in for a tight hug. I'd watched Georgia grow up, and develop into the fantastic player she is today, she reminds be a bit of younger me. As we pull away, Elleã tugs on my trousers. "Mumma", Elleã piped up, reaching back up to me. I lifted her up and she leaned against my chest. Georgia leaned closer and said "I'll miss ya Baby Bronze-Walsh", pressing a kiss to Elleã's cheek. Elleã giggled and reached her arms out to give G a hug. I don't think Elleã understood that she wouldn't see G for a while. Georgia wasn't coming back on the bus to Manchester with us, she was going to see her family before flying to Bayern to sign her contract. Just as I was about to head to the bus, I watched as Charlie raced past me and leaped into Georgia's arms. "Don't go G", I heard Charlie whisper as Georgia rubbed her hand up and down Charlie's back to comfort her. Keira came over to me and asked me "want me to take Ellie or will I get Charlie ?". We both watched as G had tears in her eyes and Charlie was holding her tightly, tears streaming down her face at the thought of her best friend leaving her was too much. I looked at Keira as we both teared up at the sight. Keira gently tried to peel Charlie away from G, but failed as Charlie held tighter. It was Leah who managed to tear Charlie away from Georgia as Keira wrapped G up in a hug and Leah carried Charlie onto the bus, in floods of tears. I patted G on the shoulder and carried Elleã onto the bus where I found Charlie sat on Alex's lap, tears still flowing. I wrapped Leah in a quick tight hug and she hopped off the bus. I sat down on one of the seats across from Alex, with Elleã in my lap, who didn't understand what was happening and was tugging on my hoodie to get my attention. "Lottie is sad because she doesn't want to say bye bye to G", I explained as simply as I could to Elleã, whilst checking on Charlie too. Soon Keira came onto the bus, she had clearly been crying and quickly sat down next to me. As soon as Keira had sat down, Charlie rushed into her arms, and cried into her shoulder. The rest of the girls sympathetically smiled over to us and moved to the back of the bus to give us some space. "Hey Charlie, it's ok, we'll see G as soon as we can, and you can run over to her and jump on her and chase her all over the pitch again", Keira whispered to Charlie, pressing kisses to her head, as Charlie slowly calmed down. Elleã reached over and wiped Charlie's tears away from her face, trying to comfort her. "Thank you Ellie", Keira smiled gently over at Elleã, who just wanted to comfort her big sister. "Thanks Ellie", Charlie whispered, sending a small smile over to Elleã who grinned up at me and raised her City blanket over her head. Charlie slightly giggled at her little sisters actions, and whispered "City forever, right Ellie ?", Ellie giggled and tried to wave her blanket around. I leaned down and pressed a kiss to the top of Charlie's head and whispered "although I don't play for them anymore, City forever, but don't tell my new teammates that". Charlie smiled softly and wriggled in Keira's lap as she got comfortable for the journey back to Manchester. I pulled out the iPad and handed it to her. Elleã looked up at me and pushed her head into the crook of my neck. I wrapped her blanket around her, and pressed a kiss to her forehead. As Elleã drifted off to sleep and Charlie put on her headphones to watch a movie, I turned to Keira who had remained quiet. "We'll see her soon", I whispered, shifting myself slightly to let Keira lean her head against my shoulder as I pressed a kiss to her head, before resting my head against hers, as we made our journey back home.
