It's Sunday, which means an update.  Enjoy ☺️

Charlie's POV:

Yesterday the team trained, while I continued to try and teach Ellie how to do keepie uppies.  It's not really working because Ellie just grabs the ball off the ground and runs away with it.  The team did play a game of dodgeball, which I took part in, but Ellie couldn't because she didn't like all the balls being thrown, so someone sat out with her.  Mum was very competitive about it.  I was on a team with Alex, Chloe, Rach and Beth England.  We were in the final against Mums team.  We obviously won, which Mum said wasn't fair because our team was the biggest, but I just called her a sore loser. After that some of the girls sat out of the game of volleyball, including me. I sat on the sidelines resting myself against Leah, who was attempting to sunbathe. Kei was walking around trying to get Ellie to take a nap, because she was cranky. Mum was of course trying to win the game of volleyball. I looked over from my spot beside Leah, to see Kei walking further away from us, still trying to get Ellie to sleep. Le looked over to where I was looking and sighed at the sight. "I might have to tell her another story", Leah said. I looked up at her confused and Le looked down at me smiling and then explained "the other day, I got Ellie to sleep by telling her about the time after she was born and when me and you met her for the first time". I smiled remembering it. "Can you tell me the story of when you first met me ?", I asked, cuddling closer to her. Leah chuckled at the thought of it and nodded "ok".  Leah took a breath and then began the story, "I met you when you were 6 years old, when I played your Mum. In that game we actually both got yellow cards". I chuckled at that part, not surprised either of them had gotten a yellow card. "I met you after the game, when you came onto the pitch, and almost crashed into me. I bent down and asked you "are you okay ?", and you replied saying "yeah, I'm tough because I'm a bronze", and I remember instantly knowing who's kid you are. I watched as you ran over to your mum. I soon plucked up the courage to speak to your mum, because I won't lie I was a bit nervous to do it. But when I did you grinned at me and said "I know you", and your mum looked at me confused about what you were on about and that's how I got into conversation with your mum. After that I saw you every game that I played against your mum and then I spent even more time with you when I got called up for England and you were 8, and I remember loving watching you mess with your mum, especially with your shoes, which you seem to have passed onto Ellie", Leah told me. I giggled at the mention of messing with Mum. Leah pulled me into her lap and finished by saying "it doesn't matter to me that I didn't get to meet you when you were a baby, like Ellie, I still love you just as much". I nodded and cuddled closer to her, before looking over to see Kei had sat down beside Alex, with Ellie asleep in her arms. I looked up at Le and replied "I love you Auntie Lele". Leah hugged me as tight as she could. I looked to the volleyball game to see that Mum was gulping down her water, and by the look on her face her team had lost again.

Today we're getting a flight to Sheffield. I'm currently trying to figure out what jerseys me and Ellie are going to wear.  I look through the jerseys we both had and then decided which ones we would wear.  I already knew what jerseys I wanted us to wear for the final, but I didn't know how we'd get them, they weren't one of the usual ones let's just say.  Another problem was that my name didn't work for my idea.  Ellie's did, but mine didn't.  I grabbed the two jerseys me and Ellie would wear for the semifinal and stuffed them into my bag, making sure to hide them from any curious eyes, specifically Mum.  I packed the rest of the things I needed before I closed my bag and put it beside Mum and Keira's.  I knocked on the bathroom door.  Mum opened it and I told her "I'm going to Le's room".  Mum nodded and off I went.  I knocked on Leah's room and a few seconds later she opened the door with a grin. "Hello Charlie", Leah said as she held the door open for me.  I bounced into her room and jumped onto her bed.  Leah closed the door and stood at the foot of the bed and asked "what can I do for ya ?".  I fiddled with the duvet and then said "I need your help with something".  Leah nodded and sat down beside me.  "And that is ?", I grinned and replied "I want to get personalised shirts for me and Ellie for the final, but I need your help with them".  Leah grinned instantly knowing what I was talking about.  "Let's get to work", Leah relied, pulling out her laptop and we got to work.  After about 20 minutes, we had finished and had ordered the jerseys.  "There's something else I need your help with, but I'm not sure if you can help me", I added, looking over at Leah.  Leah nodded and replied "I'll try my best".  I nodded and then told her my idea.  Once I had finished Leah smiled over at me and then said "I love it, but I think we're going to have to get someone else to help us with that idea", I nodded knowing Leah wouldn't be able to do this by herself.  "Let's talk to your mum on the way to Sheffield", Leah replied before getting up and standing in front of me.  I got onto my knees and wrapped my arms around her neck "thank you", I said cuddling into her.  Leah wrapped her arms around my waist and hugged me back "you are very welcome".  She let me down, while she grabbed her bag, and the two of us, left her room, to meet everyone else in reception, to get on the bus to the airport.

On the bus I sat next to Leah, excited about the question I was gonna have to ask Mum.  Leah looked over and pulled me into her side, both of us grinning.  Mum, Keira and Ellie sat across the aisle from us.  I waved over at Ellie who was sat in Mum's lap, playing hide and seek with her blanket.  She waved eagerly over at me and Leah, and then showing us her playing hide and seek.  We all chuckled at her, which made her continue, happy that we were all smiling.
